Variety is the Spice
I bet we all find ourselves in ruts: career, dating, relationship, even sexual ruts. You get used to doing the same old thing and you suddenly realize how dull and uninspiring it becomes. You know what the say, though. Variety is the spice of life!
So what do you do to get out of your ruts? How do you shake things up?
I like to get a change in scenery. A quick trip somewhere out of town. Or perhaps book a room in a fabulous hotel in the city, preferably a sexy one.
Relationships can become mundane if you don’t work at keeping it interesting. I think that both partners should be able to come up with ways to keep things popping. What is the best way to spice up your relationship? What if you just started dating? Do you keep things interesting and spicy to prevent the transition to “comfortable” stage of exclusive dating?
What have you done in the past that really made things spicy?

I loves some Mexican. But that reminds me…On our last day of work our managers footed the bill for Olive Garden and my Mexican Cubicle neighbor brought in some Margaritas. I was walking around with my coffee mug smelling like Tequila. I was like, what are they gonna do….Fire Me?

Oh, I have contracted for AT&T (some then BellSouth) in Legal HR…we eat like mad e’erday from Thanksgiving to New Years…the attorney’s always has stuff coming in…nice nibbles and such…but it was for e’erbody in OUR area…not the ppl on the floors above or below…but you know some tried to come and “visit” ppl on our floor anyhoo…cousins,I tell ya, just cousins.

M’Karyl – that is us, eating like crazy during the holidays! I just dont get people that are cool with rolling up on food. The boldness kills me! This same woman tried to roll up during the holidays and someone told her to come back at the end of the day and if something was left she could have it. She got the right one that day cause I’da said “hell naw”

I sho’ enjoyed my stay on the 67th floor at the Westin on Peachtree after dinner and drinks at the Sun-Dial. The whole time….I was saying I hope nobody can see us all the way up here pinned up on this window like this….lol
The Hyatt-Regency especially, cause there are buildings that close enough for somebody to see you.

@ Beautiful…..Bertolli is very good. I like the Bowtie Pasta with Chicken & Spinach…..paired with some garlic rolls…it is delish!!
They have one that I don’t like with Rigatoni, Chicken and Peppers….the sauce tastes too garlicy! I luv quick and easy meals during the week…my kids have to have a full meal at least 3-4 times a week.

@ Fee & Sassy….I question if they clean the windows, too….esp. after seeing that 20/20 Special about the glasses in the hotels not being cleaned. My butt print probably still on that window from 2007. lol…….I laugh but I was scared as heck….hoping that window would not break and leave my nutty self scattered through out downtown Atl…lol. I always tend to think of the worse things happening…

Nothing really wrong with what you said…just being honest…we all infer things so differently, especially when we do not have a backstory…in some instances, for a brother from anywhere to say that he has never dated a sister…well, it can rankle some ppl because it is assumed that there is something wrong with the sisterhood…so on occassion, a more explicative statement helps to open the perception of the articulated content…better flow of communication.

M’karyl – I heard that on Tom Joyner this morning. Actually, that’s kind of the dirty little secret in the “religious” community – spousal abuse – and they get away with it by thumping the bible and talking about how divorce is against God. I heard awhile back during the Bynum mess that Hezekiah Walker used to beat his now ex-wife down. She said she used to wish the church services would never end because she knew when they got home she was going to get a beatdown. There’s no where to turn to because even other women encourage them to “stand by their man” and turn the other cheek – even if the cheek is black & blue!
