The team in blue is on the mind of Georgia, which plays a different team in blue tonight. (AP photo)
Lexington, Ky. – Two weeks after Georgia lost by four touchdowns in Columbia, the Bulldogs again have the opening they need. Yes, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. But if Georgia is good enough to beat you-know-who you-know-where next Saturday, the Bulldogs will stand atop the SEC East with only two winnable conference games (Ole Miss and Auburn) remaining.
Dept. of details: Georgia does need to beat Kentucky here tonight.
Dept. of reality: Georgia should beat Kentucky by 30 points.
Even if Kentucky were any good, I can’t imagine the Wildcats could stand with a Georgia team that’s coming off a bye and is sure to be enthused by the news that is Florida whipping South Carolina in Gainesville. Kentucky, however, is not any good. Even by UK standards, this is an awful assemblage. Its four SEC losses have come by 38, 21, 13 and 42 points. The 42-point loss at Arkansas was shortened to three quarters by a merciful thunderstorm.
Yes, I know that the Gator-Gamecock tussle isn’t officially over, but I’ve seen enough. Florida’s not losing today. South Carolina, which looked so good against Georgia, hasn’t looked the same since, and now the Gamecocks are pondering a rather epic slide: Could the same Chickens who were ranked No. 3 in the land only eight days ago wind up in Chick-fil-A Bowl?
And now you’re asking: If South Carolina wasn’t half as good as it l0oked against Georgia, what does that say about Georgia? Feel free to discuss among yourselves, while we await the 7 p.m. (or thereabouts) kickoff. And I thank you for your patronage.

Leave it to UGA to make a bad team look All-SEC. Only at UGA. Nobody does this stuff but UGA.

This is pathetic, suppose to be one of the best defense, looks more like Willie Martinez defense to me!

Can UGA just go ahead and lose to Kentucky so we can leave this crappy coaching staff behind? Another unprepared CMR team takes the field against a terrible opponent and makes them look like world beaters. Anyone who thinks there’s any hope at all that we beat Florida is delusional.

on the goal and the idiot CB is playing 5 yards off the guy and still gets toasted. Just horrible. Doesn’t matter what the offense does. This defense is not coached.

As a dawgfan I must say that Georgia will get destroyed by the Gators next week. I predict 35-7. Georgias defense is horrible and its hard to believe with all the athletes they have on that side of the ball. Coaching is the reason!

I sure hope you dogs enjoyed your 4 point win last year, I think you know what is coming next week. At least you guys won’t have to worry about finding a motel room in Atlanta in December. Don’t take it that hard, the CapitalOne Bowl ain’t that bad, and I will let you know what New Orleans is like ths January when we are in the Sugar Bowl.

How did Malcom Mitchell get so bad from last year to this year? This entire team has regressed… I’m pretty sure at this rate Gurley will be arrested by December.

Time for Mitchell to learn how to catch passes and let someone else return.
1) Can’t field punts.
2) Can’t return kickoff’s.
3) Can run fast.

Sure glad we had the bye to get our heads straight. You just can’t make this stuff up. We look completly lost on defense. Pitiful, just pitiful. UK first offense TD in 20 QTRs. And I also thought the Malcom Mitchell experiment on special teams was over!

If Murray throws more than 10 passes in the half, BOBO should be fired.
