Live from Columbia: Georgia aims to bag the Big Chicken

Columbia, S.C. – Big game here. Maybe you’ve heard.
Listening to the pregame show on the radio riding in — and here let me note that it took Team AJC nearly 2 1/2 hours to negotiate the final five miles — was to hear a heaping helping of Gamecock bravado. Every interview (including one with the famous South Carolinian Darius “Hootie” Rucker) went thusly: Interviewee paid tribute to Georgia’s talent, then opined that there was no way the home side could lose.
I think the home side can lose. I picked South Carolina to win this game several months ago. (I also picked Georgia to finish 11-1 and still win the SEC East and the SEC title.) But Georgia has been the better team to date, and I say this largely because, as a Kentucky graduate, I’m leery of any team that trails the Wildcats by 10 points after two quarters.
Beyond that, I’ve got nothing that you don’t already know. Whoever wins will be in Position A to claim the East — yes, I realize Florida is again looming — and I’m fairly confident someone will win here. I invite you to join me as we ride along tonight, and I can only hope the game itself moves faster than the inbound traffic. And, as ever, I thank you in advance.

Our coaching staff is making S.C. look like the best team in football. Remember Kentucky last weak?
All the problems with Georgia is coming to the forefront in this game. The terrible defense we have been playing all year, and terrible coaching. I guess getting 12 yards on 1st down with a toss sweep to Gurley was too good, so we had to run yet another reverse with Malcom Mitchell that didn’t work the 3 or 4 times we tried it against Tennessee last year.
Now, you cool aid drinkers wonder why we bash Bobo? It’s not the 50 point games against teams with bad defenses. It’s the bone headed calls he makes against the great defenses and how he looses all ability to make the right call in pressure situations.
This team will be mediocre as long as Richt is our coach. Remember Alabama in 2008? This is the same crap all over game. We always blow up in big games, and it’s all on the coach.

Hey everybody just think…last week the Dogs beat TN in a heavyweight fight, the Braves stepped into the playoffs in dramatic fashion, the Falcons topped everything off with a great come from behind win and all was well in GA,.
Fast forward…the Braves flopped as always, now the Dogs are puppies again and i cant wait to see how the Falcons roll over!
