Oh, and here’s a print version of those predictions, if anyone cares to have proof of my lunacy in writing.

OT question for Mark
August 14th, 20125:10 pm
Few months ago read a book about King Kelly Coleman. I realize he was before your time, but he seems like quite a character, in addition to being a scoring machine and a Kentucky high school legend. Any thoughts on how you think he would have fared playing for the Baron, since he apparently liked to do his own thing, on and off the court.

August 14th, 20125:22 pm
You mean Georgia Tech winning the ACC,
and UGA winning the Eastern.
August 14th, 20125:29 pm
@duece coupe…Man , you read my mind! Go Jackets!
August 14th, 20125:38 pm
wouldn’t be surprised to see both of these scenarios although highly unlikely. what is a given however is that the dawgs will once again take the gnats to the woodshed.
August 14th, 20125:47 pm
Well, here we go again…let’s see UGA MNC prediction 30 0f the past 32 years. Geez.
Is 72 important?
August 14th, 20125:56 pm
I wonder if UGA loses a few player if the numbers become an issue. Will freshmen RB’s do well on the road? Will Murrey continue to make big mistakes in key games?
August 14th, 20126:04 pm
I cant let bozo ruin the season. i cant let bozo ruin the season. I dont like my hair wet. I like to adjust my head-set constantly during the game. I put the papers under my arm. I carefully take my headset off not to mess up my hair. I like to jump off the high dive at ramsey. I like to fly south to honduras to build huts.
August 14th, 20126:09 pm
WOW, an Atlanta sports guy saying Tech is winning the coastal (besides the fact being owned by VT) and having the Bulldogs in the NCG, man who could have ever imagined a guy who covers the Georgia teams saying things like that and then calling himself a homer, NAH couldn’t be…..Georgia could win the East but the only bad thing is they would have to play the West champ and we all know that don’t bold well for UGA……

August 14th, 20126:19 pm
Tech winning the ACC
With the team they are fielding this year give me a break
Wait a minute I forgot they play in the ACC so Duke might have a shot this year too
August 14th, 20126:30 pm
Mark, you’re a homer. That’s alright, but you’re wrong on Tech, probably wrong about the Falcons, and as far as Georgia, it’ll be the Dawgs defeating LSU in the SEC Championship game and then playing Mulligan U in the MNC game.
August 14th, 20126:37 pm
1eyed, you should open the other one. Maybe you’ll see better? It’s worth a try.
August 14th, 20126:48 pm
we’ll know early IF GT can beat VT in Blacksburg at night and IF UGA can beat Missouri in Columbia at night.. a Tall order.. then we both can go all the WAY !!!
August 14th, 20126:50 pm
What;s up,doc? Actually, 1eyed has it just about right! Mark did say that IF the Jackets can beat the Hokies, then they probly will win the Coastal…history says true! Now that LSU lost their prize Honey Badger, I feel alot better on UGA’s chances. Bama lost alot on defense, so Jack’s got a backer on the UGA\LSU pick. OLine is really coming along for the dawgs!! Gwntlemen, have a nice evening!!
August 14th, 20126:51 pm
August 14th, 20127:00 pm
Mark, Mark, just because you are in Atlanta, you don’t have to pick Ga Tech. We can all read right through it. No way on earth that Ga Tech wins the Coastal. As far as the Univ of Ga goes, well, yes they should win the East and then the SEC. The Univ of Ga has so much talent and experience, they should win all of their games easily.
August 14th, 20127:23 pm
First of all, Mark, you look better in a live interview, than the depiction I had
branded you with on your still image on your website.
I like your predictions, but because our two State teams play each other in
regular season, there is no way they could play each other for the NC championship.
Wait a minute, didn’t this just happen last year between the two Bama teams, and
didn’t it happen between Florida State and Florida?
Bobby Dodd and Wally are working hard to make this happen up in heaven.
August 14th, 20127:59 pm
When pigs fly.
August 14th, 20128:14 pm
Ah yes, the Rednecks already talking trash about beating Tech a given. Can’t wait to upset them between Sanford and Son Stadium!
August 14th, 20128:35 pm
I’m flying a Georgia Tech flag right now.
August 14th, 20129:27 pm
Thats funny!! A Tech fan making fun of Sanford Stadium while they play in a oversized highschool stadium that they have to give away 2 hotdogs and a Coke to fill!! Hilarious!!
August 14th, 20129:28 pm
It’s been a given the last 10 years, so why not?
August 14th, 20129:49 pm
Mark has been called in from home tonight by management for drug testing. Mrs. Cox is very upset. The tape has been played several times. Dawgs winning the NC and Falcons the super bowl and the really big fear that it’s the hard stuff. Good luck Mark. We enjoy you anyway.
August 14th, 20129:51 pm
What’s the over and under which week during the season Mark retracts this column?
August 14th, 20129:53 pm
We can’t count on one thing. The Dawg defense this year, best in years by the way, will stop the Tech offense….And the Dawg offense will score often on Tech’s defense. Thus 11 of 12.
August 14th, 20129:59 pm
Sorry, s/b we CAN count on one thing.
August 14th, 201210:23 pm
Mark is obviously playing to the home crowd. He’s like a populist politician. If he were in Birmingham. it would be Alabama vs. USC. But if you looked at his track record, how many times he’s missed on the dogs, you would take this with a grain. Tailback U can’t keep its tailbacks in school because it hires, uhm, recruits so many good Christian thugs under Richt.
August 14th, 201210:24 pm
Shankit What two bama teams played last year for the national champ?
August 14th, 201211:14 pm
Uga in the nat champ game? Bwahahaha. Now that is funny. They won’t even beat Missouri.

August 14th, 201211:58 pm
Never understood Dawg and Jacket people cheering against each other, except on that one Sat in November. What could be better than an undefeated UGA beating an undefeated GT?
August 15th, 20126:41 am
It’s almost time
For the season to start
The dawgs have talent
But they lack the heart

The Mark Bradley kiss of death has just been administered.

August 15th, 20128:37 am
Well, conditions would have been favorable, as in ‘81 for UGA to get to the National Championship game. Like that magical season of long ago, they missed Bama. But, wait, now there’s an SEC Championship game. Oh, well, winning the SEC East again should be a given considering Carolina plays a much tougher Conference schedule.
August 15th, 20128:42 am
Here we go again…. Georgia winning the NC in the preseason again. Wow, what a surprise. Too bad they can’t hold Bama or LSUs jock.
August 15th, 20128:43 am
Or USC, or Oklahoma, etc, etc
August 15th, 20128:51 am
GT will go 4-4 in the ACC Coastal losing to VT, Clemson, Virginia, and UNC. UGA will lose to SC in the last minute and be upset by Florida costing them the SEC East title. UGA is flat against Tech leaving them 9-3 while GT finishes 8-4 saving CPJ’s job for another year. UGA goes to the Capital One Bowl while GT ends up in Nashville. In 2013 Mark Bradely picks UGA to go 12-0 and Tech to go 11-1 while picking his mega million numbers.
August 15th, 20128:54 am
Dawgs just need a good recruiting year. Bwahahahaha
I would give the Jackets a much better chance if we still had Julian Burnett. I fear our linebackers may be a little weak to pull it off — but we can hope, can’t we.
August 15th, 20129:00 am
“Never understood Dawg and Jacket people cheering against each other”
You must not know very many Tech fans. Good for you.
“What could be better than an undefeated UGA beating an undefeated GT?”
Well, I guess that would be pretty interesting, but its also entirely unrealistic and will never happen in a million freaking years so I don’t waste my time thinking about it.
The truth is that the gap between UGA and Georgia Tech has never been wider than it is right now as far as I can tell. Tech has one of the worst defenses I have ever seen. If they played in a better conference with better offenses it would be even worse. They are awful. Two years in a row now Aaron Murray has sat back in the pocket and picked them apart like he was playing a video game and they haven’t done a damn thing about it. We’ve barely even had to run the ball. As for their offense, its good at what it does and should be respected for that, but it obviously has serious limitations. The evidence is becoming overwhelming that when faced with a quality defensive front it sputters. That’s exactly what UGA has now. We’ve got monsters on the d-line that are quicker and faster than Tech’s undersized linemen. We go 2 and 3 deep at linebacker with guys that would be first team All-ACC if they played in that crap league.
If you’ll notice, Tech fans very rarely want to talk about the UGA game anymore. They know what I say is true. They’ll talk anything and everything about UGA except that last Saturday in November when their team has to play us. Its the boogie man in the closet that keeps them up at night. They think if they ignore it it will just go away. It won’t Techies. Better go grab your blankie.

More importantly: Falcons in the Superbowl this season!
August 15th, 20129:04 am
MB, you’ve lost credibility as a serious sportswriter, having turned into nothing but a hype-meister trying to generate blogs.
August 15th, 20129:12 am
I think my Dawgs are a little overrated but it should be a fun season. I say 10-2. If you want me to pick the losses I say South Carolina and Florida. That may be good enough to get us the SECCG where hopefully we’ll put on a little better showing than last year. We’ll close the regular season out with another double digit pounding of the nerds.
Truth is, the gap between UGA and Tech has never been wider than it is right now. We’ve got the horses on defense to cause some serious problems for their limited offense and their defense is a total disaster. More than anything though, I think we’re back in their heads again. They really don’t believe they can beat us anymore. They would be correct.
August 15th, 20129:20 am
Mark, you might want to put the that tequila bottle back in the liquor cabinet, if there’s anything left…
August 15th, 20129:27 am
Lose to Florida?
Does anyone on here actually pay attention?
Florida has the worst QB in the SEC East.
Even Smith/Newton/Towles are better than Driskell/Brissett.
Florida’s defense better be good.

4 other SEC teams have won a combined 7 national championships during Richt’s tenure but Mark Bradley is determined to once again falsely proclaim Richt’s Georgia team as the “standard bearers of the SEC”.
I suspect this season could be a replay of the 2008 season, where Bradley’s preseason prediction waved Georgia past Alabama in what turned out to be the infamous Blackout Game beatdown in Athens. His biggest concern going into that game was that Georgia had been dropped from #1 to #3 in the national rankings and that they might get shut out of the national championship game even if they went undefeated as expected. After the debacle against Alabama, Bradley jumped off the bandwagon but finally jumped back on just before the Florida game, when Georgia got slaughtered again.
But never mind all that, Bradley will always have a new prediction of pending greatness for the Dawgs!
August 15th, 20129:53 am
Tech wins 7. Georgia wins 11.Tech could win 8 or 9 if the defense is greatly improved. Richt scheduled Ga. Southern the week before playing Tech to have more practice against the triple option. He also recruited huge defensive linemen to stop the option. He’s knows he has to focus on beating Tech to keep his job,. He’s safe for another year.
The AJC sports columnist is a blogging fool. But you knew that already
