Video: On UGA winning the SEC and Tech taking the Coastal

Oh, and here’s a print version of those predictions, if anyone cares to have proof of my lunacy in writing.

I hope UGA can meet Bama in the SECCG for Bama will beat the living sheet out of you! The good news though is the UGA fans will see just how far away from being a real champ is for your program. UGA couldn’t stay within 20 point of Alabama. Keep dreaming.

For the guy that stated Bama lost a lot of defense. Watch the Mitchegun game and we will talk.

It’s a given. UGA vs. Bama in the SEC championship game. UGA doesn’t have to play three of the top four teams in the west and bama doesn’t have to play the top three teams in the east.

UGA fan here ……

The problem here is that the high expectations are comming from WHO…… THE MEDIA!!!!

And in my opinion, they’re NUTS…..

We have an inexperienced O Line being put together by a first year froshman….

We have NO experience in the backfield…..

We have average to maybe slightly above WR’s…..

We have a Defensive backfield that is hurt for 3-4 games due to suspensions….

We have a kicker and punter that have been on campus just a few weeks…..

MEDIA is creating these false expectations….. and when it doesnt happen….. Who is in the wrong??

MEDIA …. for making these bonehead predictions…..????

CMR and staff for not peforming and meeting the high expectations (of the Media)?????

Who do you think catches the flack!!! According to the MEDIA!!!!

Mr Bradley you are priceless, you would believe Georgia was going to win no matter what. On paper I agree they should win the east,as we all know games are not played on paper. Granted Georgia once again got a break no Bama,LSU or Ark amazing. Did I mention no RB either, you are completely discounting South Carolina and the fact that the Dawgs under CMR always and I do mean always trip when they shouldn’t. Beware of trips to Columbia Mo,Nashville, and a little place by the name of Jacksonville Florida. And should your beloved Dawgs win the East they will once again have their head handed to them by either Alabama or LSU.

OK…. Who is it that is creating these High Expectations????? MEDIA!!!

They are NUTS and have not clue in evaluating teams….. (and I am a uga fan and would like nothing more than a NC)

We have:
Inexperienced OL
Inexperienced RB’s
Fr. Kicker
Fr. PunterAverage WR’s w/out Malcom
DB’s out 3-4 games…..

These predictions are NUTS given these holes!!!

And who will catch the blame for the MEDIA’s predictions if UGA does not win big???

The Media for making such outlandish predictions with the obvious holes to fill? You can bet your a$$…NOT!!!!

The MEDIA will say that UGA did mot meet expectations due to coaching…!!!!

There’s a reason they are in the media and not coaching ….. and it aint the money!!!

@ Tim Scott. You are correct on one point. UGA always looks great on paper. Huge Dawg fan here. We win the games we are supposed to and can’t seem to close out the BIG games. CMR does have a “general” good record but here again, over the last few years, the big games get away. Conservative play calling? Not utilizing players talents? Who knows. Vandy and UT come to Athens this year

Nobody seems to notice that Bradley made an equally outlandish prediction regarding Tech. Either that or nobody freaking cares. Tech fans are laying low so later when they win 7 or 8 games they can claim that was a tremendous accomplishment because “everyone” was predicting them to win 3 games. That’s my favorite line of absolute crap that they come up with. Tech fans love to play the David v. Goliath card to try and pump up their otherwise mediocre results on the football field. The reality is that they are consistently in or hovering right around the preseason top 25 every single year. They’ve been NATIONALLY RANKED the week before the UGA game 2 of the past 3 years. Yet, after everything goes south its a miracle that Tech is even able to field a football team to hear the typical Tech fan tell it. Even showing up to the games is a noteworthy accomplishment because those management classes are sooooo hard and Tech can’t compete with the “football factories.” Well guess what clowns? The media thinks you can compete with the football factories. Maybe its high time you started proving it instead of making excuses. Don’t go around running your mouth about failing to live up to expectations until your team has proven it can live up to its own expectations. That’s the pot calling the kettle black.

Thanks.

Inexperienced OL
Inexperienced RB’s
Inexperienced Kickers
OK WR’s…
DB’s suspended….

This just does not look good to me and I cant believe media is giving us so much love (or setting us up)

Poor evaluation of the situation in my opinion.

@ gbal. As awlays there are questions pre-season. And as always in true UGA fashion the media puts sooooo much on the Dawgs. Until I see our team start beating ranked opponents again I will not be convinced. And as alwyas there seems to be a lot of potential on this “young” team for this year and a couple years to follow. Pre-season ranking of 6…a little too high. Going to Mo scares the hell out of me along with the suspesions on D

Of course none of this really means anything until they take the field. Go Dawgs!

Georgia Tech is in Atlanta

August 15th, 2012
11:13 am

UGA will go 9-3: Dawgs lose two of four against SEC opponents Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, and Auburn and then drop one of the last two to Southern orTech.

GT will go between 7-5 and 9-3: Jackets will lose to VT (yeah, they’re really going to stop that 260 pound quarterback with two LBs out), Miami (becoming a new tradition since PJ came along), and then another opponent they shouldn’t lose to (probably Virginia, BYU, or UNC). The games against Clemson and UGA are toss-ups.

gbal………………these crazy predictions(Bradley also picked the Falcons to go to the SB) are coming from the Atlanta media and nowhere else. It’s like we are going to pick all the local teams to win, and when reality sets in and they don’t, we can all get angry at the coaches or school/organization. I agree with you that these predictions are just not justified, and this stuff is just a joke to Bradley who’s enjoying these petty torments. Pretty much the same prognostications will be made next year, and the year after………and the year after that too.

WTF

August 15th, 2012

Bradley – you are wrong on both calls, but brave to make the calls. Of course, if you were working in, say, Columbia SC, anywhere in AL or LA or Blacksburg, VA, you’d be making the opposite calls, so we get it. It’s a mid-week pablum article to soothe the jangling nerves of football fans ready to climb the walls for want to their September fix.
No harm, no foul. But I’d place it at 5 to 1 against on the perfecta.

Ga goes 9-3. Can’t win big game, inexperienced OL, not running game, qb questionable albeit a great work ethic in an effort to become better, very questionable special teams……won’t beat SC, will drop one to either Vandy, TN, or Auburn. FL or Tech will get us. 9-3. Bet on it. We won’t be better than last year and this years schedule is tougher than ya think.

I believe folks might be sleeping on UNC. A close look reveals an offense ranking potentially ranking among best in country. Fedora is going to rock with UNC’s speed and skill on offense. Best Oline in conference, arguably best running back in Geo Bernard, and leading QB in pass efficiency in conference.

I predict the Braves will win the World Series. Tech will beat UGA and go undefeated. UGA will win the SEC. Then, both will play each other again in the NC game. GT will win the NC game. The Falcons will win the super bowl. GT will win the NCAA Tournament. Hawks will beat Miami and then the Lakers with an 8 seed to take the NBA Finals.

Would you say that the talent level that UGA gets on a regular basis is equal to the talent that GT gets on a regular basis? Would you say that it is even possible for GT to get the level of talent that UGA gets? There is always going to be a massive difference in talent in those football games. Sometimes we will overcome it, usually we wont. That’s just how it is.

At this point, everyone’s guess is as good as everyone else’s. But some posts are much smarter than others. I like GTBob’s comment, a realistic look at GT and UGA. It explains why UGA dominates the series these recent decades and why GT can expect to pull off the occasional upset. Don’t think it will happen this year, but …. Big, big early season tests for both teams at VT and Mizzou. Win ‘em and the sky’s the limit.

“Would you say that the talent level that UGA gets on a regular basis is equal to the talent that GT gets on a regular basis?”

Of course not. We’re not fighting off Middle Tennessee State and UAB for most of our recruits like you are. Thank goodness too. We would be completely irrelevant with talent like that. We might as well make a move to the ACC.

“Would you say that it is even possible for GT to get the level of talent that UGA gets?”

I would say that I really hope not. I hate Tech and I hope you lose every game you play in, so why would I want you to do well in recruiting? I would also say that I could give flying rat’s butt if its not even possible for you to get the same level of talent that UGA gets. That’s your problem and no one elses. Are we supposed to feel sorry for you Techie? Do you need your mommy?

“There is always going to be a massive difference in talent in those football games.”

I agree. That’s because Georgia Tech football has no real serious commitment to success. It never has. Its a half azzed program more content with making excuses and winning 8 games per year. You geniuses whine about a lack of talent but hire a coach that very few talented players want to play for. Brilliant move Techies!!!! Once again, I guess we’re supposed to feel sorry for you? Not happening. Every time you lose I LMAO. No symptathy here. Maybe your mommy will provide a shoulder to cry on.

Tech fans are riot.

Mark get’s paid for writing an opinion and getting you to put 4 quarters in the green box or log on here and visit. There is another dept, in the AJC building that goes to say “Nalley Auto Group” corp. HQ and say’s, give us 7,000 for running ads on line and in our print edition for us to see. They do it. Mark gets a paycheck out of that, pretty simple. Now, he won’t get fired or demoted or have his pay cut if none of this ( predictions) happens. He writes a retraction week 10 and we all read it and Nalley spends another 7,000…. Got it.

That’s because Georgia Tech football has no real serious commitment to success. It never has.

For once we will agree. GT will never ever place as much importance on football as the factories in the southeast. Most GT fans wouldn’t even want them to. GT is a strong academic institution that also happens to have a football team. Will we ever be world beaters? No. But the necessary changes that would be needed to get there wouldn’t even be close to worth it.
