Athens — Here we are at Butts-Mehre, sometimes known as Dawg Mahal, and you can cut the tension with a … well, you know. It’s Signing Day, and the biggest undecided name in Georgia’s sights is about to pledge his troth. (Or, to use a more contemporary image, don some school’s baseball cap.)
And Josh Harvey-Clemons, the linebacker from Lowndes, picked …
Georgia.
For the record, Harvey-Clemons did not do the now-tiresome hat trick. Instead he allowed his younger sister to take off one sweatshirt to reveal a red Georgia shirt underneath. Style points!
And that, you’d have to think, would ease the doubt some Bulldog fans had over this class not being ranked as highly — at least not by Rivals and Scout — as last season’s. Harvey-Clemons gives Georgia the No. 1 player (at least in somebody’s ratings) in four different states.
UPDATE: As of 3:07 p.m., Georgia hasn’t received Harvey-Clemons’ signed letter of intent. Which means he isn’t officially a Bulldog yet. Asked about the holdup, recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner said an hour ago: “Sometimes you have to wait.”

Id say it has more to do with totally turning the defense around and making people fear UGA’s defense again. But hey. Thats just me.
His defense didn’t do much against the few good teams they played. Face it. UGA fans love him because he is big, loud, and obnoxious and because he picks fights after games.

I think ranking UGA at 5 on ESPN is a bit of a stretch. . just not enough numbers to justify being that high. . .

Where are the outstanding O line picks? Enough with the skill position players already. Our O line was a liability and the two best guys on it were in the Senior Bowl. All this time spent on that wide receiver would have been better served trying to flip an O lineman. I will take a health Soph Malcom Mitchell than a projected high school star any day. For whatever reason we are more enamored with the style points in drafts and not the meat. Might be why we are always ranked so high in recruiting but it doesn’t translate on the field. Just sayin

Bob, that’s nothing new for us. UGA always finishes in the top 10. .problem being, about 3 to 5 SEC schools finish in the top 10 every year as well.
We’ve won a few SEC championships in the the past decade. Might get another chance at one in 2012 as well.

Try not to hate 2012. He is a sad little nothing who is obviously desperate for any type of human interaction even if it’s only insults. He has no friends, no loved ones, no job as indicated by his nemerous posts here, nothing at all going on in his empty life.
He makes countless hate filled posts and then plays the victim when someony returns a bit of his vitrol. He is the classic depressed loner that aches for someone anyone to notice him. His home is either in the basement of whatever relative has more pity than disdain for him or a small room he rents with his government check. In either case his living space is dirty and smells bad much like 2012 himself.
He will reply with what he feels is a cutting remark as tears flow down his face. All too often cases like 2012 fight every day the overwhelming desire to just end it all. This is not a flame on him because he is truly pathetic and wretched.

Based on scrolling back through these 6 pages, you seem to be an obsessive compulsive douchenozzle who has nothing better to do than troll on another team’s board and trash them.
The lack of match.com responses is ruining your self esteem and your current unemployment and lifelong battle with impotence, and the subsequent mocking by females, is ruining your life. You therefore have to come on these boards and talk trash to keep yourself from keeping women in a pit for the purpose of making a skin suit.

Outstanding class it needs to be noted that while the Gators and Bama are ranked higher much of that is a numbers game, and without starting a over signing, grey shirt fight they signed more players…UGA’s rank is really loaded with some quality players at positions of need.

Yep. It looks like Bama will sign yet another top ranked recruiting class and finish with this year being the 4th year in 5 years that at least one of the 3 recruiting services pegged our class as the no. 1 class. We did have that slip in the 2010 class though where we were only ranked no. 4 in the nation. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Quality on top of quantity. 13 of Bama’s signees are in the ESPN elite 150 list and I belive 9 of our signees are in the rivals top 100.

Can we get back to recruiting and signing PLEASE? What is happening with Brandon Greene? As of 1 pm he hadn’t signed his LOI with Alabama. We have to get at least one more offensive lineman and we really need both for this to be a great class. I’m a UGA grad and longtime season ticket holder but we have to be honest. Our biggest problem last year was our OL and we lost the 3 best guys off of that weak line. It speaks volumes that Theus will start as a true freshman and so would Avery Young if we get him at 2 pm when he announces. We need Greene also.
