With this weather, you’re not going anywhere tonight — and if you are, the only place you should venture is the insane asylum. The BCS title game is on, so here’s what you should do: Watch your TV and hang out with me. (Figuratively speaking.)
We don’t usually do live blogs off games not involving a local team, but we’re making an exception for this one. Because Auburn is semi-local and Cam Newton is absolutely local and … well, because I just feel like it.
We’ll get going around 8 p.m. — toe-meets-leather time is set for 8:30 or thereabouts — and we’ll keep going until somebody has claimed the semi-mythical national title. (TCU, my heart bleeds for thee.) And I do want to offer one bit of terrible news for AU fans up front:
I think the Tigers will win.
That aside, I invite and implore you to grab your official AU Snuggie — fans of other schools are welcome to join the festivities — and join me (figuratively speaking) on this cold winter night. I’d even invite you over, but I’m pretty sure nobody could make it down the neighborhood approach without damage to both fence and automobile. So let’s do it the 21st Century. Let’s commune the cyber way. I look forward to your company, and I thank you in advance.
Oh, and War Eagle! (I’m tired of being wrong in these BCS games. And don’t get me started about Mack Brown and his SHOVEL PASS!)

I am a Dawg alum and fan. Please all you Dawg fans who are badmouthing AU, stop it. There is only one team in the SEC who doesn’t have any players who received (are recieiving) improper benefits (Vandy in case you can’t figure it out) In SEC football, it is “honor among thieves.” Everyone cheats even though the HC may not condone it. Pull for our first cousins, the Tigers and the SEC. Selah!

If Auburn can avoid being down by 17 or more at half, then the Tigers can maybe come back in the 2nd half. The speed of this game should be set on Hyperspeed, but maybe both come out a little tight and slow in the 1st quarter.

Dawg AND SEC fan, I have a feeling you’re really an *AU fan in disguise. No, every team doesn’t pay it’s players like *AU. There are certainly benefits here and there. But *AU is a cesspool of organized cheating. They’ve taken it to new levels for years and it’s organized by people like Lowder, McGregor, Dye, etc. Terry Bowden, $cam Newton, and Eric Ramsey can all testify. It amounts to organized crime, but it involves a school that wants to be Bama. Don’t try to tell me that “everyone does it” like *AU, they don’t. The last school that did was SMU and I don’t think they could hold a candle to *AU. Go Ducks! Make it right!!!
