With this weather, you’re not going anywhere tonight — and if you are, the only place you should venture is the insane asylum. The BCS title game is on, so here’s what you should do: Watch your TV and hang out with me. (Figuratively speaking.)
We don’t usually do live blogs off games not involving a local team, but we’re making an exception for this one. Because Auburn is semi-local and Cam Newton is absolutely local and … well, because I just feel like it.
We’ll get going around 8 p.m. — toe-meets-leather time is set for 8:30 or thereabouts — and we’ll keep going until somebody has claimed the semi-mythical national title. (TCU, my heart bleeds for thee.) And I do want to offer one bit of terrible news for AU fans up front:
I think the Tigers will win.
That aside, I invite and implore you to grab your official AU Snuggie — fans of other schools are welcome to join the festivities — and join me (figuratively speaking) on this cold winter night. I’d even invite you over, but I’m pretty sure nobody could make it down the neighborhood approach without damage to both fence and automobile. So let’s do it the 21st Century. Let’s commune the cyber way. I look forward to your company, and I thank you in advance.
Oh, and War Eagle! (I’m tired of being wrong in these BCS games. And don’t get me started about Mack Brown and his SHOVEL PASS!)

Only the truly delusional would accept the lie that Can did not know what his dad was doing. After all we have seen Cam lie in the press before. He told SI that his dad made the decision to go to Auburn- then he told the softball tossing Fowler that HE alone made the decision to go to Auburn, And of course his comment to the cops who came to check out the stolen laptop-”I want o speak with my attorney”. Just the comments of your average football kid, who has his own personal attorney eh?
The cheating at Florida, the 13 traffic violations- all point to a kid who thinks the rules do not apply to him and he is above it all. And he now speaks of himself in the 3rd person as in –
“I had to step outside Cam Newton the athlete and step into Cam Newton the human being, the person that is very caring,” he said. And of course his comments to Dan Mullen that “the money was too much” while crying about not being able to play for Mullen at MSU.
We all have to make up our mind about who he is and I think he is a punk , a liar and a charlatan.
The best in America in 2010 -absolutely. Do I trust or believe him- absolutely not.

The NCAA DID NOT SAY that Newton did nothing wrong- they said there was not enough evidence to find that he knew what his dad was doing. Far cry from saying he was innocent.

And of course Cam never asked his father about the play for pay $cam even after Cecil admitted it. JP, by the time you get through recreating Cam he will have never even thrown the laptop out the window while at Fla.

Mullen and his wife were the ones that Cam calledersonally- remember all the to do Cam made over how he called Dan because of how close they all were(GAG). There was no report that Cam talked with anyone else at MSU after the Auburn decision by Cam/Cecil/Cam/err Cecil.. Only two who could have had that conversation.

Jim Pierce Doofus- it means that there is evidence that he knew but not enough(in their opinion) to seal it. I would bet money that Dan Mullen and his wife heard the money too much comment but there is no tape of the conversation. And of course Cam would lie and deny the comment. He knows it is a he said-he said situation so he can continue to lie through his teeth that he never knew what his dad did. Pull for Newton and Auburn – not on your life.

The weather is very nice here in Tampa, the 3D Television is on, salsa and chips on the table and I may have to find a old infant potty to use if the game is as fast paced as it is advertised.

Tell The Truth…that’s the second assumption you have made. Again, I am not an Auburn fan, nor a Cam fan. I am an SEC fan, however, and want the conference to do well. I also want Cam and Auburn to be innocent, because it helps nobody if they are guilty.
I am fully aware of the fact that both COULD be guilty. However, I have no axe to grind, and am content on waiting on the facts…not suspicions.

Has anyone else on here been reading the Pete Thamal articles in the New York Times on Auburn, Lowder and Grades?
The funniest line in one article, Trooper Taylor said he has never met Bobby Lowder or even shook his hand. There are photos all over the internet showing the two together, now that is a laugher.

Rumor has it that Les Miles is going to Michigan but before he goes he is going to turn in Auburn on numerous recruiting violations.

Howver, I am an SEC fan. And I realize that Cam/Auburn being guilty doesn’t help any SEC school. I realize that they COULD be guilty, but I have no axe to grind, and am content waiting on the facts to come out and not rushing to judgement due to the emotions of college.
