The bottom line is – when you retards graduate from UGA, where do you go? You come to Atlanta, only to be beaten out by Tech Grads. Our hatred towards UGA is only about one thing – the fact that you guys consistently beat us in football.

At the end of the day on Saturday, after UGA wins, we’re going to be talking about two 6-6 football teams.

The real question is which fan base should be more disappointed in that? Is it the SEC school with the built in recruiting advantages who couldn’t beat Florida in a down year and went 0-3 against the Western division, or is the ACC school that was in the championship game last year but couldn’t follow that up and slipped down in a really bad division?

Good column, Mark. The one correction I would make is about winning with the previous coaches players. It didnt make sense on either end. Gailey’s players havent all left yet, but Johnson has near collapsed in just year 3. Richt won his second SEC title in year 5 and won his second BCS game in year 7. It took 9 years for Richt’s program to take a step back.

Tech doesn’t graduate any lawyers or doctors? haha…that’s entertaining considering I know a number of IP lawyers from Tech that start out making triple what any UGA grad makes. Try one of the highest medical school entrance percentages in the Southeast. I know it may be difficult, but percentages aren’t affected by total student enrollment…(number accepted divided by total attempted) that division can be tricky, check your math there bud. I can understand the nerd stereotype, minus the fact that uga fans would never have even seen them because they’re in their dorms writing code. It’s not our fault your football program went down the drain this year…at least we’ve been consistent Real Tech and UGA fans alike appreciate Bradley’s release every year and look forward to some good old fashioned hate. As a Tech grad who has been to Sanford stadium on multiple accounts, I feel bad for the people who actually attended UGA as it’s the “I didn’t go to college” individuals that find their way into producing the bad reputation. I experienced a grown man who could have very well been my father’s age spit on me after barking in my face. Nothing screams more classy and intelligent…

I said over 3 years ago, over and over, that it was only a mtter of time before Spurrier started to beat UGA – and would beat them year after year. He should have won last year, he won this year. Next year I’m thinking of enrolling my kid for $60k so they can get one of those Recreation and Leisure Studies Degree. Oh wait they have plenty of others that I can choose from, Exercise Science, Housing, Sports Studies, Consumer Economics, Child and Family Development. Damn Mark…badinage, really? seventeen bloggers just reached for a dusty dictionary. Anyway, this year both teams do have a badimage. One thing I have learned over the years, most of the time the record means absolutely nothing in this game, especially if Tech is favored. We are getting too many points in this one. I am looking for a WWE cage match Saturday as each team tries to salvage their season by doing mental and physical harm to the other.

Georgia fans are seize the slightest indication of a good trend as a sure sign that they are going all the way to #1. Completely ridiculous. Tech fans are so dispassionate that they will never light the fire that will return the program to it’s former glory. Georgia gets players who are twice as good as the Tech recruits and does less with them than can be imagined. Tech fans, coaches and players sit and watch a half effort week after week and think “oh, well, so it goes.” No one should outrecruit UGA, they have a great university, great facilities, great fanbase, money, the best looking women, they are in the best conference, great tradition, etc. etc. etc. So why are they so mediocre? They should be in the top ten all year, every year. Tech has imbeciles in charge of the program, hiring coaches who utterly stink and sticking with them, even giving them long term contracts while performing poorly. Gailey is a great example. And what about the Tech defense? It is the worst in the nation. Oh sure, we had a great one under Bobby Ross, but that was 20 years ago!

One thing I hate about both: They have plenty of homer fans who mindlessly unload on the other guy. How stupid, how adolescent.

About Half of uga’s fan base across the state are trailer trash red necks. We’re talking about a million people. They go to games. Another 35% are students, alumni well to do normal nice people.
Then 10% are jerkoffs that didn’t go to uga who think they know so much about college football and are morons. They are usually the ones posting on these boards. They have loser jobs and have no money saved.

Tech has a non american fan base that is likely around 20% of the fan base, Another 20% are indeed “nerds” who could care less about football. The remaining 60% half are true big football fans and the other are casual fans. Uga has a ratio of about 5 fans in this state to 1 for Gt. Maybe 6 to 1. So that is why you sell out your stadium morons. And many cases this year, ya didn’t. It’s called supply and demand. You tend to have more demand than supply. Obviouslay I am talking to the redneck who may have found a computer with an Internet connection and that other 10% who posts here constantly saying mature things like 33-10 Hahaha or 34 28 hahaha

Happy Thanksgiving even to the rednecks and dirtbags. I think the game will be closer than people think with perhaps some bad weather coming in. Could make for a decent close game. Dogs will probably win by 7-10.

I’ve never understood how anyone – even an alumnus – could support and take pride in UGA’s football team. When you look at their history for the past forty years, how can anyone ignore Jan Kemp and the “remedial studies” scam, the Jim Harrick fiasco, the DUIs in the athletic office, the DUIs and other arrests of players, the #1 party school tag (i.e., the most drunk students), the suspensions and outright dismissals, the Fulmer Cup, and on and on?

As disgraceful and humiliating as it is, I don’t see many alums and fans demanding an end to this sordid activity. It sets UGA apart as the kind of school most people abhor, and it’s become an embarrassment to the whole state of Georgia.

Mark- Richt didn’t just win w/ Donnan’s players. Maybe he was more consistent then, but he one the SEC the yr. Shockley was QB, in Richt’s 5th season (2002. Meaning THEY WEREN’T RICHT’S PLAYERS! In 2007, they finished #2 in the nation. They didn’t win the SEC, but by the end of the of the season, they were playing as well of better than any team in the nation. I get tired of people saying he’s only won w/ Donnan’s players, bc IT’S NOT TRUE! Terry Bowden is a better esample of a coach who never won w/ his own players, but not Richt! Bowden wne undefeated in his 1st season at AU, but couldn’t win the SEC bc of being on probation. THen they got a little bit worse ea. yr., bc there wasn’t any where to go but down. By about the 4th yr. or so…that was the knock against him (recruiting). He also never won an SEC title ever.

UGA tradition is a highly unoriginal, absolute joke…

They stole their beloved “G” from the Green Bay Packers. Same with their bulldog…stole that idea from Yale.

UGA named their marching band the “Red Coats” after the same people our forefathers had to kill in order to gain our Independence.

UGA, a very Southern school, decided their fight song should be what the Union Army used to play…”Battle Hymn of the Republic”.

The only time UGA ever won anything was with Herschel Walker. And guess what? He was given a brand new black Trans Am to go to school there. In this day and age with the media being a 24/7 beast…1980 never happens.

What an absolute joke UGA’s history, fanbase, and traditions truly are!
