Mark, HOW windy is it? Windy enough for Parker to throw a few picks?

I’ve been saying it for …. 4 years: If ATL can handle the multiple-event / same venue / same day chaos that the Olympics provided in 1996, surely we can do the same with the ACC / SEC. Bama and Auburn did it in the old days at Legion Field (when it seated 72,000); Auburn vs. Ole Miss at 1:00; Bama vs. MSU at 7:30.

Charlotte will be a disaster, but the idiots in Greensboro haven’t figured that out yet. Swofford needs to be kicked out, and the ACC needs to hire …

Gary Stokan as the new Commish.

That will fix things.

Hey, Georgia had a crappy season, and the fans are watching today’s action from home. Their victory over Tech is all they have to talk about. Let them have their fun. Maybe they’ll realize that every time they put down Tech they are making their only quality win of the season look worse.

Where’s the buzz, no pun intended? I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about the fact that the ACC championship game is the first conference championship to be on pay-per-view.

Sure you’ll still find the game on ESPN; if referring to the fact that for the first time ever, the ACC will pay cable customers a small stipend if they tune in.

The ACC is really, really down this year when tech is in a “championship” (sorry I laughed a little) game. Things should get back to normal next year when VT, Miami and FSU start winning again. This Techie thinks that Charlotte is the best locale for the game. BUT, I also think the indoor thing is valid. Army/Navy is next week. Is it possible to hold off one week and play following everyone else (or would that just be disrespectful to the service acadamies)?

What is wrong with playing this game on a Thursday night since the ACC plays Thursday nights all the time anyway? I know that Saturday is preferred but if you move the game to Atlanta, this may be the way to go. The ACC game will take 10 to 15 more years to establish itself. The SEC has been doing this a lot longer.

O.K. my fellow tech brothers, I’m gonna be honest. You show me a team with a BIG offensive line and a BIG defensive line. Big strong running backs, ( like you see in most SEC football teams ) and I’ll show you a winner. Like it or not its the truth. I hope Tech beats Clemson, but I beleive Clemson will wear them down.

I’m sitting here wondering how Cincinnati or TCU would do against either one of these teams or how they would do against Alabama. It’s sad, but if Texas wins, we will never know. I really don’t believe they would go undefeated in the SEC or ACC. Clemson sure looks athletic.
