Geez, this waiting is killing me! In about 5 hours, UGA fans will slither back into their trailers and we won’t have to listen to their mindless drivel for 9 months.

I am stuck in a house with UGA fans, and they are already making up excuses for how they are going to lose this game. It is not a big game for us……our defensive coordinator is an idiot…….our offensive coordinator is an idiot…..AJ Green is out of the game…..the refs stole the game from us against LSU……SEC is a superior conference……ACC sux…….blah, blah,blah…..I know you are trying to soften me up, but I am still going to laugh my arse off everytime we score. By the way, if you are reading this blog, I am the one in the recliner with a Corona and a GT shirt and hat on.

Jacket Lawyer do you seriously think ANYONE here thinks for one split second that GT wants to play the Gators? If GT wanted to play Ala., UF, Tn., LSU, Aub. etc they would STILL be in the SEC!

A mistake GT will never recover from when it comes to their football program! After the powers to be at GT realized what a collosal mistake they made by going independant, they lobbied for years to get back into the SEC before thet settled for the ACC!

UGA has owned GT for the last 45 years…UF has owned UGA for going on 20 years! And you want some of UF….sure you do…wink wink!

All the Georgia game is for us is another mile marker on a great season. We have nothing to gain by Michael Vick-ing a program that has falling well into second tier status.

Mark I suppose I am one of the few Georgia fans not fearing a
Tech blowout. Sitting here ready to channel coach D. Green
at the end of the game. Got a feeling same circumstances are
lilkely as the Bears/Cardinals game. I expect a close game and
at the chances are the Dawgs will ultimately let them off the hook.
I have my own podium set up here at the old homestead and look forward
to meeting the press after the game. Because I believe I know who
the Jackets really are and we shall soon see.

Why is when we Dawg fans say we are going to lose because a) we can’t tackle, b) we are undisciplined, c) we turn the ball over, etc that somehow we are making excuses. We are just not that good. And that is not an excuse. That said, we could still win this game if we play near perfect and/or Tech has a bad game. No doubt about it.

Oh yeah, and Yech fans, don’t spend all week telling us how crappy our team is and then go beating your chest about winning if you’re able to to it. Can’t have it both ways.

Here’s to a clean game, free of controversy. Lord help us if there is a bad call for one of the teams. Either the Tech fans will be saying the refs are cheating for us or Dawg fans will be saying the refs are out to get’em.

Let’s hope both teams play a hard game and leave it all on the field. Bout time to pop a coldy.

I can’t decide if there’s a kind of depression, or a kind of serenity that comes from knowing what will happen tonight.

Knowing we will lose, and thanks to Martinez, lose big tonight has to make it easier than if this were a nail-biter, right?

I mean, let’s say, just by accident, because we know he couldn’t do it on purpose, that Joe Cox manages to get us a lead with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game.

We’re talking about the guy who single-handedly turned mediocre QBs in college like Erik Ainge and John Parker Wilson into NFL draft picks when they should have just been free agents, by calling his favored soft zones.

UGA has the DT’s to stop Dwyer and OLB to contain Nesbitt. If GT were a passing team i would be more worried because that’s our biggest weakness. I see GT scoring some points but i believe the UGA offense will carry the day against GT defense. Look for UGA in an UPSET and we take some solace from the season. I look for huge turnaround next year.

based on clemson/s.c. game, and other SEC biases that I harbor, I think UGA’s defense will be faster than most of what Tech has seen, particularly on the line and linebackers. Seriously. That being said, the secondary is not coached to cover guys for some unfeasible reason, and all the team speed UGA still has won’t stop them from
A. turning the ball over
B. committing a bevy of penalties.
So after seeing what Gamecocks did to Clemson, I now only think Tech wins 37-24.
