Here's vivid proof Georgia actually did tackle Roddy Jones. Once. (AJC photo by Pouya Dianat)
OK, folks. You know what I think will happen. (Georgia Tech 42, Georgia 27.) You’ve heard my phony-baloney rationale: Tech is the better and more consistent team. Now I’m asking: What do you think will happen?
Tech blowout? Georgia upset? Overtime at Bobby Dodd? (It happened 10 years ago, you’ll recall.) Questionable call proving decisive? (That has happened a time or two, has it not?) Roddy flying past Reshad down the sideline again? A phantom fumble returned for the winning touchdown? A fourth-down throwaway? Tim Wansley with a seal-the-game INT? Tim Jennings with a seal-the-game INT? Gary Lee with a kickoff return through the fog?
I’m fairly certain you’ve had enough of my blather. I’m also certain you have detailed thoughts on the matter. Please feel free to share. Sharing is good. Sharing is cleansing. Sharing is why I’m here.
I leave you with this one factoid: In the Associated Press preseason poll, one of these teams was ranked No. 13; the other was No. 15. Anyone recall which was higher?
The AJC sports columnist is a blogging fool. But you knew that already

This should be a high scoring affair. Neither defense could stop Granny on a motorized hover-round going to get free coffee at Hardee’s. Look at GaTech’s record and what stellar offenses put a hurt on the Tech D:
1) Vandy: 31 spot
2) Wake Forest: 27 spot
3) MSU: 31 spot
4) FSU (5-6): 44 spot
Willie D’s is just as pathetic. GaTech offense should win the day in a high scoring game. This will give us Willie’s critics the ammunition to run this guy out of town to the ranks of single A high school football where he belongs.
Help the DAWGS: Free Willie!!!!!

Fuzzy…as much parity exists in CFB, don’t be so confident. The GT defense is not very good and will allow UGA to hang around.

Dabo looks confused on his play calling too. USC has a good D I know but again Clemson ca’t keep 3-out and turning it over.

The plan for UGA fans is to park their trailers along I-85 until halftime. If the dawgs are within 7 at the half, they then plan to enter the stadium.

Hey Yellow Fuzz, can’t seem to find your scrawny rear at the baseball field, 3rd base line, near the foul pole, wearing your “yellow fuzz was right” t-shirt. Where are you sissy geek? I thought you and your “crew” were gonna be here so we could talk down to you. Typical little sugar truck….all mouth, too much of a pudding to back the talk up, eh? Crushed!

Throw your stat sheets out the window. After all of the trash talk… the laughable rings… i have a feeling that UGA is playing for blood tonight. I think they play all out. I’ll take UGA to win BIG over the Jackets. I can’t prove it… I’ve just got a feeling. UGA does not underestimate GT… there will be no mercy… whoever has the upper hand is going to make it ugly.

Win or lose this last year has been the greatest year of my life. Winning the lottery or owning the winner of the Ky Derby or even winning the Masters couldn’t be as sweet. I can now see how UGA fans
totally lost their minds after having this feeling for 7 years.

DAWG CENTRAL, how exactly do you make a statement that teams will catch up to this offense? I posted the stats; this offense is light years better than it was last year, and teams have had lots of film to watch and lots of time to prepare.
Everyone brings up Miami. So Tech’s offense got stopped by 1 team this year. But how many other teams did Tech play up gave up more yards to Tech than any other opponent? Get a clue. You reciting talking points doesn’t mean they’ll come true.

Now that I have my good sportsman comments @1:31pm out of my system, I hope Tech stomps the dogsh*t out of Georgia tonight. I had my family over for the game last year. Myself and 11 Georgia fans. The crap I had to listen to during the first half (I heard “how bout them dogs” till I wanted to puke) was well worth it as they sat stunned and watched what happened in the 3rd quarter. I was able to bring out my Georgia “crying towel” as they made excuses for Georgia’s second half collapse. Funny, no one wants to come over tonight. I guess they see the “writing on the bull pups butt.” It will a a sad night in dogville after Tech gets through laying an a$$ whopping on Georgia tonight for the second year in a row. GO TECH, Sting The Leghumpers!!! and send them back to the dog pound.

wreck—man it is always great to be Jacket. Be proud–stand tall.
Go White and Gold!!
Other than continueing to be STATE CHAMPIONS this game does not mean as much as Clemson and the Bowl.
82 Degrees and perfect in Maui—Mixing the Mai Tai’s and preparing the pupus—–thats appetizers for you less sophisticated 4-leggers.
I feel good enough to up my score prediction to 42-24. We score one late just for the hellofit.
On to Tampa boys—-this ballgame is history.
AJC—Update—-Jackets win easy. Dawgs in disaray—CMV on the hotseat and CPJ—Coach of the Year.
