UGA in an upset? Tech in a blowout? Your thoughts, please

Here's proof Georgia actually did tackle Roddy Jones -- once. (AJC photo by Pouya Dianat)

Here's vivid proof Georgia actually did tackle Roddy Jones. Once. (AJC photo by Pouya Dianat)

OK, folks. You know what I think will happen. (Georgia Tech 42, Georgia 27.) You’ve heard my phony-baloney rationale: Tech is the better and more consistent team. Now I’m asking: What do you think will happen?

Tech blowout? Georgia upset? Overtime at Bobby Dodd? (It happened 10 years ago, you’ll recall.) Questionable call proving decisive? (That has happened a time or two, has it not?) Roddy flying past Reshad down the sideline again? A phantom fumble returned for the winning touchdown? A fourth-down throwaway? Tim Wansley with a seal-the-game INT? Tim Jennings with a seal-the-game INT? Gary Lee with a kickoff return through the fog?

I’m fairly certain you’ve had enough of my blather. I’m also certain you have detailed thoughts on the matter. Please feel free to share. Sharing is good. Sharing is cleansing. Sharing is why I’m here.

I leave you with this one factoid: In the Associated Press preseason poll, one of these teams was ranked No. 13; the other was No. 15. Anyone recall which was higher?

Clusters was never ones to brag but we never missed a game to injury or sore thumbs. We was surprised when a certain baseball player in town went down with sore thumbs. Football players have to be tougher than that and we always was even though we liked baseball best and still do. We have some pretty good seats for tonight’s game and we will be bringing some barbecue sandwiches in with us.

They are reporting that Tiger Woods was hit by his wife with a golf club and was running away when he wrecked. This is some big news – almost as big as Paula Deen getting hit with that ham. Mark, will you be covering this or is it all Tech-Georgia tonight?

I don’t know if he’s going to the NFL, CBS Sport seems to think so. Propbably headed to Notre Dame, USA Today thinks that’s where Meyers is headed.

Georgia Tech 35 Georgia 27.

I don’t see a blowout. Georgia does have some offense when they aren’t giving the ball to the other team. The Georgia defense just doesn’t have a prayer of slowing down Tech enough for the offense to keep up. It will probably look a lot like last year’s game.

At least this train wreck for the mutts will be at “Storied Grant Field” where Multiple National Champions play and not in the KUDZU CESS POOL OF DRUNKS AND REDNECKS which means there will not be as much PUKE and GARBAGE to cleanup like LAST YEAR for the ALREADY graduated bullpuppies.

By the way MUTTS—see the totals after this year’s beatdown for your last 3 sets of 4 year grads.

Jackets 3 wins—-Dogs 1 win
Dogs 4 wins———Jackets 0 wins
Jackets 2 wins ——Dogs 2 wins

Last 12 years years (after this beatdown today.
Georgia 7 wins—Jackets 5 wins

Now shut the heck up about your mighty mutts. THE ABOVE STATS DO NOT SUPPORT ALL YOUR BS.

YOU HAVE JUST BEEN AVERAGE IN YOUR OWN STATE FOR THE LAST 12 YEARS.

Funny that Tech fans make fun of Georgia fans for wanting coaching changes when we all know who was behind the “Mark Richt to FSU” crap several years ago. Filthy hypocrites.

Georgia is always going to face top flight coaches regardless of what Urban Meyer does. We play in the SEC, not the All Crap Conference. Get a clue.

Was the wife a golfer before? She must have popped him a couple times with a driver and when he was backing up he hit the hydrant and kept on going until he hit the tree and she come up and popped the window a couple times and he was in a mess. We was always wary of women golfers and what they might do if they was mad.

I have watched these games for fifty years and know from experience that both teams will be fired up. Even with Georgia in a down year, they still have plenty of quality football players. But this year I think our Yellow Jackets have just as good or even better players, and are better coached. Close game or blowout, I think Tech wins the game.

mike…tech did nothing in the second half different .uga did.first bobo stop running the ball(moreno over five yards a carry in first half),second defensive players for uga missed tackles.the fact that you won last year does not change the fact that going into the game you knew you didnt have the talent to win the game, you did so i guess this year we have a reason to believe.same teams if we lock up,and bobo doesnt think that we are the saint with drew at qb we will be ohkay.

MauiJacket checking in. I am setting up the 58″ LCD on the patio to watch the whales, the ocean and this fantastic football game. It is great to be a Jacket with a real diploma living the good life in Paradise.
I hope everyone comes out of the game injury -free except for the broken-hearts of the bulldawg nation.

I see this game right at the spread about 35-28. We might have a slight scare like the dawgs had in several games earlier this decade but WE WILL WIN.

I am more concerned about Clemson—but mostly concerned about winning the BOWL game and improving on ONE OF THE TOP 3 ALL-TIME WIINIEST COLLEGE FFOTBALL TEAMS RECORD IN BOWL HISTORY BASED ON WINNING PERCENTAGE—CHECK IT OUT.

In the past years with Gailey we had a coach who was not committed to our history and tradition. CPJ is leading us back to the GLORY DAYS.

This will be the first game I have missed in person in this rivalry in 35 years and for that I am sad—-but I know it will be sweet
