Knew Hyland, Grizzard, etc...When the sports page was one of the best in the nation. Yeah, I'm that old, but getting wise now that I refuse to read this crap anymore. Turner gets hurt in Carolina game, what does Atlanta do to fill possible hole, sign Stecker and does not sign Larry Johnson who is the same style back as Turner. When Randy Moss wanted to come to Atlanta, it did not happen because thought was he would clash with Vick, are we trying to become a winner or an appeaser? How Atlanta failed to pursue Darren Sharper to replace Miloy is beyond me, we should attempting to put the best talent on the field. To continue to put players on the field that you know from actual play that you can not win with is not sound football management. It takes me back to the early 80's when the Falcons had just learned how to win, what did the front office do? Fired Leeman Bennett, and introduced us to Dan Henning who dismantled the team to reflect his philosophy (H-Back), Bartkowski was leading the league in passing at the time of his benching and eventual release, the tailspin started all over again. I applaud the Miami Dolphins on the way they handled Ricky Williams, they could have very easily parted ways with him years ago, but they kept him for what he did on the field, no way Atlanta should have allowed Vick to leave, especially getting nothing in return, they should kept him on the team allowed the chance to make a mends, he and Matt Ryan are better than what way are faced with if Ryan goes down.
