It`s unlikely that GT will beat Clemson in Tampa. In the contest earlier this year, GT jumped on Clemson early, then had to hold on to win at the end. Both teams have gotten better as the year has progressed, but Tech`s defense usually
does not play well in the first quarter. Spiller & Clemson will jump on Tech early and that will be sufficient to give the Tigers the win. Surely, neither the Tech brain trust nor the ACC wants to see GT implode in another Peach Bowl debacle.

Dumbest comments ever by this idiot writer. Va Tech has far more football only fans. Florida is simply too far for most of them to want to travel. Having the game in FL is a killer unless Miami and Fl. State play period. Guarantee next year in Charlotte outsells it regardless. You must not be from the south. What a moronic column.

No possible match-up will make the ACC championship anything close to exciting until it involves at least one team with realistic national championship hopes.

First of all, FSU will SHOCK THE WORLD when they upset Florida
at The Swamp on Nov 28th.

After that, if 11-1 Florida were to beat 12-0 Bama in the SEC-CG,
then ALL HELL woul dbreak loose, b/c neither would be ranked in
the Top 5 or even the Top 10.

When an unranked FSU beats the 11-0 Gators on Nov 28th, Florida wont deserve to be ranked as a Top 5 or even a Top 10 team.

So, if a Gator team NOT RANKED in the Top 5 or even Top 10 beats Bama, then neither Bama nor Florida would deserve to make it to the BCS-NC game.

When a 11-1 Florida limps into the SEC-CG, SEC OverLord Mike Slive will MAKE DAMN SURE the referees "understand" that Bama WILL beat Florida.

Cause if Bama loses the SEC-CG, that would leave Texas, TCU, Cincy, BoiseSt, GT, etc. etc. to be selected for the BCS-NC game. Acutally, a Texas-TCU BCS-NC game wouldnt be so bad.

It would be a beautiful thing. Cause at that point, EVERYONE will know the BCS is a FRAUD and will demand a playoff system.

It'll be nice if more than a couple thousand Jacket fans show up. I am expecting a Clemson home game type of environment. Go Tigers!
