As far as having confidence in Johnson, I was there from day one. Having endured a sideways oriented offense under Gailey, it was encouraging to see a coach coming to the Flats that had an end zone oriented attack. Seeing is believing and the Virginia Tech game '08 was the proof. Despite losing, Johnson got a fourth quarter drive going that tied the game. In only the third game of the season, Johnson had a very poised offense. There were some disappointing loses in '08 and one in '09, but the direction of TECH football is definitely upward.
