Why in the world would you take fans away from your campus to play at the Dome...it is NOT a college atmosphere...the tailgating is no where near the atmosphere created at an on campus game and trust me 90+ thousand fans at Samford is a lot better than a split down the middle crowd at the Dome...trust me keep it a home and home

They should do it for just one year. Just give Tech home field the next year and nobody will lose home field advantage.

Here's an idea what about a basketball series with UGA Ga Tech Ga State and Ga southern which benefits charity. The four biggest D -1 BB programs playing at phillips with the winners and losers playing each other in the 2nd round. Think how much money it would raise for a good cause like childhood cancer

Mark
It's not what's good for the city of Atlanta it's what's good for the schools. This is not good for the schools. It's only good for that money hungry asshole gary stokan and the Chicken Fillet organization. He is trying to change everything in this city and state for his own advancement. If he wants to put Ga. and Tech in the so called Classic he should get top 15 schools from the other major conferences to come in and play GA 1 year and Tech the next. The order of which plays first is not important. The only reason he has had ACC vs SEC schools is because he is afraid that pitiful excuse for a place to play a football game wouldn't sell out if he didn't. That would take the glory away from him. That's all he's after so he can go on radio talk shows and receive the praise for another great haappening. I'm sorry the Tech-GA. game is already a great happening that he is trying to ruin.

The Georgia vs Georgia Tech game is fine where it is, the way it is. I think its a mistake playing the game first of the season, but I get the theory that if you lose early it doesn't knock you out of any championship runs.

The only reason I would see playing it in the dome would be for Georgia Tech to use it for their home rotations if it allows them to make more money for selling more tickets. To me, that would make sense.

I don't know what Georgia would have to gain by moving their home game to Atlanta on off years, especially considering they already play Florida in Jacksonville every year.

you my friend need to be kicked of sports writing (not really) You CANNOT put the game at the beginning of the year. I don't mind a neutral site, but if you put the game at the beginning of the year, I would rather disband the football team... no way!
