"Meyer wins with a bunch of no-names"
Is this sarcasm or are you that ignorant about Florida's program?
This article shows a shocking lack of insight from Bradley.
Isn't this Atlanta (the capital of the South's) newspaper? Shouldn't you have a basic knowledge of the SEC?!
Bradley, pull your head our of Dooley's a#@ once in a while and study some of the other teams in the league. You report from the epicenter of college football- stop reporting like an amateur.

I quickly know whether or not a "sports writer" has done any research on South Carolina. This guy obviously hasnt. How can you pick them out? The only thing that say is "this could be Spurrier's last year." Come on the same boneheads have been saying it for 3 years.......it is not going to happen. He publicly said that he wants nothing more than to coach this new freshman class until they graduate....seems like simple math 4-5 years more of spurrier.

Cant really argue the loses that he selected. To be honest SC could lose every game but one (SC State)...not likely...but you could make a serious arguement for each game. My 2 cents.

While Vandy may only reach a bowl game every 50 years, it beats your record for saying something witty or intelligent.

Mark:

Not much to quibble about regarding your SEC picks. Saying this, let's take a look at UGA.

Of the four games you think UGA will lose, I think it will be three of the four with UGA beating either tech or Okie State. More likely Okie. Of the eight games you think UGA will win, they will mostly likely win seven. So......that adds up to 8-4 doesn't it? Just a different type of 8-4.

I think the media sees a superior Okie quarterback and a receiver that is thought to be superior to most (but in fact is about equal to UGA's splendid sophomore receiver) and see a better ball club.

I see:

1. a far superior UGA coaching staff 2. of the 22 starters, I would guess UGA has an edge in 14-15 positions. 3. Beyond the 22 starters, say players 23-50, it is much less competitive with UGA holding a commanding edge.

If you have ever attended an Okie State home game, even in the last year or two, you know the crowd is not much of a factor - kind of the "UGA of the Big Twelve" type crowd. I will say the ballyard is pretty fancy but you could put two of Okie's ballyards inside Sanford Stadium.

The heat and humidity of Stillwater will hardly be a factor.

In all honesty, when Okie State came to Athens, I was pretty surprised that the ball club was only marginally competitive and, if Coach Richt had not called off the Dawgs early in the third quarter, I think UGA would have doubled the score. This is a better Okie State ball club that the one that came to Athens but not good enough to beat UGA.

Let's all agree to meet back here on September 6th and see how UGA did.

The sad truth is that this what the majority of media members have chosen to become.A shell of any real journalism.Where is th rolling up of the sleeves and doing some actual homework.I am in the same line of work, though it is TV and radio, and I find it a slap in the face to read dribble like this aout the thing we all share in common here, our love for SEC football. This crap reads as though a 5th grader who hates football wrote it.Now,if you wrote this garbage in order to spark a response and nothing more then so be it.However even that is Busch league in itself from someone who represents such a key media outlet as the AJC.Why Mark, please help me understand do you have nothing more to do than sit at your laptop and come up with ways that you deem clever to rouse people up.This great game and great conference can do that all on it's own.How about putting in a little research time next time and not this crap.

Hey Mark, only 3 barbs at Kiffin in the article. You losing your man crush on him? If UT loses to both Kentucky and Vandy, I'll kiss your bare butt on Peachtree Street at high noon.
