Nutt has a SEC winning percentage at the bottom of the league for coaches with more than three years in. And its not even close. Last year that apparently hyper talented Ole Miss team, who lost the two games between the Florida win, eaked out a .500 SEC record. A great year for a team with such talent? If you say so.

Take away his wins over 1-AA and Sun Belt teams, and he's at right about .500 for his career. He never wins big games when he has the better team. Isn't that really the most important quality in a "great" coach?

Nutt sometimes wins when no one expects him to....but most of the time he doesn't. Nutt rarely wins when everyone expects him to. So, honestly, what is with all the "one of the best coach" love? He's average. His 10+ years in the SEC show that conclusively, occasional upset or not.

I was hollering for CMR & UGA to hire John Chavis as DC long before Les Miles hired him. However, a lot of the defensive commitments say they really like CWM. Go figure.

CWM's defenses' numbers are steadily getting worse each year. One of the AJC columnits wrote about that last year. It's a scary trend that gives me ulcers each Fall.

As a UGA homer, I admit to being prejudice. However, I dispute Mr. Bradley's assertion that 2008 was not Mark Richt "finest hour". Which of the coaches he mentioned could...play the toughest schedule in the nation (by won loss record), have 22 season ending injuries, including 2 of your top 5 players before the season started, lose to the eventual National Championship team, the runner up for that Championship team (this is the only opinion in this blog the SEC championship was really the NC. especially since TX got hosed) and their most hated rival where records often don't matter...and go 10 and 3. Not to many of them.

My lord Mark, take the SEC "sausage" out of your mouth. Leavitt, Bobby Johnson, and Houston Nutt above Brian Kelly?

I guess if a squirrel with one eye was coaching at an SEC school you'd probably rank him in your 15-20 list, right?

You need to change your name from Mr College Football to Mr Swallowing Every Coach in the SEC.
