Shane, normally I would have something really unkind to say in response to your ridiculous post about the Bulldogs, however since the Razobacks are stuck with that complete slimeball of a coach Bobby Petrino, I'll give you a pass.

Georgia Bulldogs have nothing. All they had in 08 was Matt Stafford and Knowshon Moreno. Stafford is a Matt Ryan want-ta-be and Moreno is a Darran Mcfadden/Felix Jones want-ta-be-them.
You might as well start rooting for the Washington Nationals.

Go Arkansas Razorbacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brace yourselves everyone because when Bobby does decide to hang it up there is no question about it, mark my words, I guaratee, the next manager of the Atlanta Braves will be Terry Pendleton. You might as well get ready for it because it will happen.

I love this blog because I love the Braves, but after slogging through three pages of ridiculous speculation from wannabe GMs, my head is hurting. So many of these trade posts amount to the following formula:

"I think we should trade [fill in Braves' worst/least desirable player(s)] for [fill in other team's best/most desirable player(s)]."

What a crock. That's not the way it works. Slow down folks. We're not getting rid of Garret Anderson. We just got him, remember? We're not getting rid of Kotchman either. We pretty much just got him, too, and even if we did want to trade him, as Bradley said there's no market for him.

And why in the world does anyone think we are going to trade Vasquez, our best pitcher this season? We just got him, too, remember? Do you really think Wren spent the entire offseason bolstering this pitching staff just so he could start trading it away? Not gonna happen. You can't have too much pitching. Period. Even when Hudson comes back (IF Hudson comes back). Please, please, please, stop with the trade Vasquez talk! IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

At this rate I figure it will be around August when the folks on this board start clamoring to trade McClouth. Relax people. The Braves are going to be fine. They are building a winner, and it takes time. They might even surprise you this season.

Finally, I have to say lay off Garret Anderson! He's one of the best hitters in the game over the last decade. He knows how to play the game – and he even knows a thing or two about how to win a World Series! He's not loafing - he's taking care of his body, especially his quads, so he can keep his much-needed bat in the lineup. If you've ever played the game into your 30s then you know the agonizing effect rapid acceleration can have on the quads. I play in a men's over-35 league and half our team is out with quad injuries right now. I agree about the public perception of hustle, but Anderson hustles more than you think. He's looked a lot more lively in recent weeks, now that his bad quads have had more time to heal. His bat, by the way, is coming around and could be a big difference-maker down the stretch. You'll see.

How about we trade Shafer, Kotchman and KJ for Adam Dunn??? Put Adam Dunn on first base, Martin Prado is your new starting second basemen and we can Mclouth in centerfield. I would do this in a heart beat if the Nationals approve.-
