Yes, the Braves just released Tom Glavine. They closed the clubhouse before batting practice, which was the first sign something was up, and they’re keeping it closed until after the game. Frank Wren is going to brief the media in the next five minutes. Glavine isn’t here.

I will be writing something about this. So, really: No flipping!

That is crazy. I am not supposing that he was going to be the pitcher he once was, but this stinks the way it is being handled….as reported. Tom has always been a classy guy, I hate it to end this way. I look forward to seeing him, smoltz, and mad dog at old timers day at the ball park.

In reality, we will never see Schaffer in a Braves uniform again. Hr will be traded as a prospect in another misguided minor league transaction.

Just from the Braves’ perspective, I don’t think they ever saw Josh Anderson as a long-term answer in center field. Not saying they’re right. Just saying that’s the feeling I get from them.

At the ballyard now, by the way. I’ll be posting something Braves-related fairly soon. So no flipping, ya hear?
