As long as Booby manages by formula and keeps geeks line Blaine Boyer, he'll find a way to squander many good starts and turn them into ONE RUN LOSSES. He should have been fired 2 years ago when he continued to play Andrew Jones or use Tyler Yates in relief.

Hey, if Kawakami can't win games for us he still has a winning smile. No?

Anyone? Come on, he looks like a little smiling baby. In a good way.

What's with all the Ohman love? For the record, last night he started the eighth inning with a lead and promptly gave up a home run...and the Dodgers lost the game.

And that is along with his second half meltdown last year (from the overuse excuse now being used for Boyer). Let's face it, two of them in one bullpen is not conducive to winning/saving games. In fact, having just one is too many. Time to face facts: Boyer has failed!!!

I have to echo the sentiments uttered by mr. BOISESTATEBRONCO... WHAT ABOUT (let's turn off the caps button) Buddy? (Wait, is a three word sentence a sentiment or just a short question?)

Why do the Braves keep putting my boy Carlisle on the back-burner. I love Buddy ("not in that way" as David Brent might say, or was it Andy Millman?). The guy has come through in every situation he's been put in and we keep treating him like a second class dude.

Kawakami is as important to this team in 2009 and onward as it gets. If he's can throw strikes, give us about six innings a game and win 10 or 11 he'll be worth the money. I have a feeling he might do more than that in spite of his last start.

As for that game the other day whenever it was whoever it was against, look at it this way, all they got were pathetic little soft line drives over the infield and then just stood there and waited to be walked in. They might as well have been texting the guys in the dugout.

Look what happened to the Rays in the ALCS. They were headed to the World Series then gave up one clutch hit after another to the previous World Champs but pulled through and won three days later anyway.

I think we've demystified the Phillies. We'll get our revenge. Oh yes, we will get our revenge.

Uehara and Kuroda looked good in there games so far and they profile the same. He won't be a Daisuke, and I hope he won't be a Kei Igawa but a solid middle guy 12 wins.

Most of the Japanese players that have come to MLB have done well. The quality of play in the Japanese leagues seems to be pretty strong. If you recall, the Japanese team was the winner of the last 2 WBCs, so, it seems to me that Japanese players have proven that they can hold their own against players of any other country. Kenshin Kawakami was a star in the Japanese leagues, thus, there is no reason to think that he should not be able to cut it here in MLB.

K.K. did have a bad outing in his last start, however, his performance in Spring Training demonstrated, to me anyway, that he does have Major League stuff and, just as importantly, appears to have the right make-up to be successful pitching in MLB.

It's great how everyone has made the decision Braves stink and will cave (in), 3 games into a 162 game season. Y'all have no faith.

GO BRAVES!!

Let's go back about 10 days. Anyone here that wouldn't take 2 wins over the Phils, 3 quality starts and multiple home runs by the Braves? That 3rd game meltdown is like a pleasant dream that morphs into a nightmare and leaves you shaken upon waking. Remedy? Forget it.

Wow, Willster, I'm kind of glad you don't get Peachtree TV after that little childish rant. The Braves should be seen only in households that are worthy. With that being said, you may be right about the Braves. Maybe they will finish 4th in the division but as for right now, us Braves fans will continue to be optimistic as it is only the beginning of the season. At the same time, I'd be very careful about a 3-0 start against the Nationals.

Mark, I think that KK is definitely the key for the rotation. Lowe is going to be a rock at the top and I think we pretty much know what Jurrjens and Vazquez will bring to the table. Glavine we know very well also but I really don't see him starting more than 15 games this year. I see Bobby being reluctant to put him in every 5th game.
