When they hired him I told my UGA friends that they got a good one. They had never heard of him but I had knowledge of him. He took over Nevada after Trent Johnson left there to go to Stanford & then to LSU. I could care less where he was coaching, he was successful and I was actually surprised to see Mark write a slightly negative article about him. Schools like UGA & other SEC football schools have to find the diamonds in the rough. It is rare when they are going to be able to get a well known established coach. I'm not a UGA fan but what they need to do is lock up Atlanta & the state of Georgia, pay this guy not to leave & support the team fan wise & they can have a top flight program.

JaVale McGee, Ramon Sessions, Armon Johnson and Luke Babbitt are accomplished players that Mark Fox recruited. Nick Fazekas was an excellent college player but his athleticism was limited and he didn't work hard enough to elevate his game.

Well wow Mark, everybody knows that you know more about hiring a good coach than any major college AD. That's why you are a stringer for a failing rag that will end up being a local newsite web address.

Its a good thing your opinions don't mean crap. I remember how you criticized UGA for getting rid of Jim Donnan and hiring Coach Richt. That showed me what a dumb azz you actually are.

But you got your column turned in in time to make your bosses' deadline, and that is all that matters, isn't it?

I think a good story would be why not Grant or Stevens or a MAJOR coach. I don't buy the fact that UGA can't get about anyone if the money was right.

Phishing, I don't bet. But I've already expressed my preference in this weighty matter.

And thanks again, George P. And let me just say that I never ever write anything for the sake of Stirring The Pot. As silly as I might be, I believe everything I write. (At least at the time I write it.)
