I hope that I have heard the last from my fellow alums who after last season said our team this year would be better, I claimed worse and sure enough it was. Now I await those same experts to tell me next years team will be better than this years team. RIGHT. We lose the two best players so I think the team will be worse unless we get a new coach. The team in the season's last game and in the two tournament games would have been blown out each game had Clinch not shot out of his mind. J. J. Redick had games like that in college and now he averages about 3 points a game for the Magic while shooting below 40%. The rest of the team including Lawal basically mailed it in with turnovers and terrible basketball sense. We need a new coach. The Xavier coach Sean Miller I believe would be great.

Hypothetical:

What would happen if you switched players with Duke. Who would have the better record, our guys at Duke under K, or Duke's guys at GT under PHew?

If the answer is anything other than "Duke's guys at GT would win more games of course!"...then we have clear problem on our hands.

To UGAissolastyear: You are typical Red-Nec playa-hater. It has nothing to do with black or white players on the bench. PH can not coach. Therefore, please stop with the Great White Hope plead to the GT fan, or any Basketball fan base that you MUST have white players to succeed because it is not happening. Moreover, if it really took having a white player on a team to be successful the NCAA or NBA then why 95% of both leagues are made up of African American players? Better yet, wait until Tyler H come out of the NCAA and ask him. He will not start in the NBA...just not physical enough. Don't hate the player/playas, hate the game.

By the way- where you ever a reject jock in high-school or college?

Why is Mo Miller and Lance Storre's on this team? They are not ACC caliber players!

BC takes timeout, 5.5 remaining, down a point. Rakim Sanders misses a deep trey at the horn. Duke wins.

And I'm going home. Thanks for hanging in there with me since noon, y'all. I'm much obliged.

Gerald Henderson scores down low. Duke by one, 34.6 to go.

Pretty good day of basketball. Two great games in the afternoon, an upset (Maryland over Wake Forest) in Game 1 this evening, and now this.

Joe Trapani hits a pair. BC by a point, 48.4 to go. Carolina fans are standing behind the Duke bench. It's funny to see.
