The day is almost upon us. It’s time to declare.
After a very long election season, we’re a few days away from learning whether Barack Obama will be re-elected or if Mitt Romney will replace him. Which way will it go?
Who will win the presidency?
Total Voters: 1,759
Now, you can find any number of data points to support your desired or predicted outcome. National polls, state polls, battleground polls, early voting totals, absentee ballot requests, TV ad spending, campaign stops by the candidates and their surrogates — all point to a tight race, and any can be used to explain why Obama will win or Romney will be victorious. In such a close race, with hardly anyone still undecided and likely to vote, it’ll probably come down to which side’s base is more enthusiastic, and which side’s get-out-the-vote efforts or “ground game” is more effective.
I’m not asking you to make a case for your preferred candidate, just to tell us what you think is going to happen. The nearby poll for this week’s Poll Position offers a range of possibilities for you to register a strong to moderate to narrow win for either candidate. Feel free to be more specific in the comments as to which swing state will go to each candidate.
As for me …
I’ll make my prediction next week!

Do you think of all Vets (and let’s just add former POW’s) that vote democrat in that manner?
———
As I’ve made clear in the past, many who think of themselves as Democrats will be doing the right thing by their country and voting against Obozo. Voting for Obozo is a vote against what our vets fought for. Some will vote for Obozo out of ignorance, some out of habit, some out of greed for other people’s property, some because they support Obozo’s effort to bring America low.
I can’t read minds, so you’ll have to figure out why your dad voted against his country’s interests on your own.

If Romney wins, it will be by just a few electoral votes.
We’re getting close to that tipping point (if we’re not there already, we’ll see) where people will vote for “free ride” over freedom.

Because women in Ohio and Virginia are very angry about absurd and idiotic restrictions put on abortion in those two critical swing states by republican legislatures, they will vote to sweep those morally corrupt old white men out of office. And in the process they will send Obama back to the White House for a 2nd term.
When will the GOP do the right thing for the country and get out of the religion business?

I usually don’t go for this stuff, but here’s an interesting take on November 6:
Mercury goes into retrograde on Tuesday, November 6, meaning the road that we have been on for five years since 2008 now requires that we make choices and decisions. The climb to the summit has ended but now we must choose the directions we need to go, to pursue the spiritual journey, purpose and pathway for 2013. This Mercury retrograde is setting the stage from the incredible climb since 2008, to now make choices of the path to pursue that takes us into our true purpose.
All of the challenges, difficulties and accomplishments can now become part of our shift into a new world. 2012 is a universal FIVE year (in numerology terms) which represents CHANGE, BREAKTHROUGH AND FREEDOM. You will need to be ready to break free from the past and move into new directions, shifting your goals, location and purpose. The day before Mercury turns retrograde, the planet of Uranus turns retrograde, to begin the changes that will come with the changing winds of Uranus. It is time to break free from the past situations in which we have been diligently working since 2008. It is now time to let go of the challenging climb and to instead look to the new directions pulling us. New avenues come into view and pull us toward our creative expression. We have set a new pace for 2012, now it is time to heed the call.
Sounds like a Romney win to me…

from David Letterman Show:
Biden’s top 10 reasons for voting early
10. I’m not saying each early voter gets a free cheeseburger, but I’m not saying they don’t either.
9. It’s vastly more effective than voting late.
8. You know who votes early? People with a backbone like a ramrod.
7. In a less crowded polling center, there’s plenty of room to stretch out, linger and relax.
6. If you vote early you don’t have to pay taxes. I’m sorry I’m being told that’s not accurate.
5. Single and looking to mingle? Find that special someone in the early voting booth.
4. Of course, there’s the open bar.
3. Not exercising your right to vote is malarkey – it’s literally malarkey.
2. Early voters will receive a $5 million donation from Donald Trump.
1. Honestly, don’t you want this election over with already?

Dusty,
I would not expect anything else from you than what you have written about Romney and Obama, no matter how much I disagree. But I wonder why you keep repeating that “Obama has raised the national debt to 16 trillion, the greatest deficit this country has ever experienced.” As I have pointed out to you a few days ago, EVERY president in recent history raised the national debt to the greatest amount this country had ever experienced. (And please, for next time, do not confuse national debt and deficit.)

Mangler,
Tthere are very few conservatives on Bookman’s blog as you probably know.. He has “moderated out” quite a few conservatives and some left because of the uncontrolled virulence and partiality there. That might give you a clue as to how a poll might go on political matters.
Kyle keeps this atmosphere a little more thoughtful . I believe a poll here might reflect veracity and thought not found at Bookman’s.

Call it what you want. Debt, deficit, owed, underwater, overboard, out in space, China’s chokehold, and keep explaining how you dismiss the failing finances of this country under Obama. Dance to the twist any time you feel like it.
If you want to be a blind protege of Obama’s, go ahead. But no president has raised a debt more than Obama even if we add your two cents.

Dusty,
With all due respect, the problem is that you keep writing things you do not understand, and which are patently false. Not to mention the obligatory accusations like “blind protege of Obama’s.”
For one thing, no president really “raises a debt.” Perhaps you have not noticed, but it is the Congress that “raises a debt.” Second, you apparently also have not noticed the deep recession Obama’s term started with. Do you think it had nothing to do with the increase in the national debt? I could point out, for instance, that Ronald Reagan increased the national debt by 189%, more than twice percentage of Obama’s increase. I am not saying that it is an argument I would actually use, but it is no worse than what you argue.

Two comments here – (1) When Romney wins 35-38 states, Obama wins 12-15 states, is it Fair and Balanced for Obama to be re-elected? Will we still be the USA(United States of America) or do we become the UUSA(Un-United States of America)? (2) Already got a plan in mind if Obama is re-elected. I will immediately contact federal govt to get my free Obama phone and get my free stuff, just like the liberals do.All cons should do the same, everyone get your free stuff and then the tax-payers will get pissed! The money will eventually run out for everyone, then we will be just like Greece!

I will make my prediction Monday afternoon.
I am struggling with how to handle one development. The weekend before the Denver debate Romney felt it necessary to move past the center to the left. Why?
Speculation leads me to believe that they did not believe they could win without that move. To me that means they are dependent on the ladies vote from the Democratic center; call them Romney Female Democrats. Those ladies may hold the election in their hands. Will that move to the left be successful?
Today I do not know.

All the the voters have to do is compare today’s unemployment stats to 23% when Hoover left office after three years of the same economic meltdown as OBama was given by George Bush. However that takes some rational thinking. Most cons can’t do that and let El Rushbo, Hannity , Rove and Coulter tell them what to think.
