Jay and I got together with AJC political reporter Aaron Gould Sheinin in a Google Hangout to discuss last night’s presidential debate and our thoughts on how the race is going as of today — and where it’s leading us. Enjoy!

Romney’s plan did not involve buying off the unions so taxpayers could lose billions of dollars. End of story.

Unions already vote dem because the gop wants to end them.
They always will unless the gop changes.
That will not happen and the gop will not vote for the middle class.

You mean Bob Lutz, he of the “defending the Chevy Volt” fame, JDW?
I’ll point out that your quote from him doesn’t doesn’t mention any loan guarantees by the government at all, since, you know, they had never been offered by the Obama administration.

What happened in Italy is what would happen in the US if we have 4 more years of liberal government and judges:

You certainly did..that a vote for a Democrat is evidence of not using your brain. If you read Romney’s op-ed there is no way you can say what you are saying and you believe government spending is the answer. Government does not creates jobs and every dollar they spend is taken from YOUR MIDDLE CLASS and spent inefficiently.
Now whose voting against themselves?

One thing you can count on for sure.
Look at the Electoral map.
The red states. High on welfare and food stamps ( Georgia a deep red state has 2 million on food stamps alone ). Highest on those not paying taxes. Lowest ranks in education.
The blue states. Less of the above and a much higher percentage of college graduates.
In many cases it comes down to education.
The more educated a society the more liberally they vote. They are less likely to be fooled by people like Multiple Choice Mitt.

It’s obvious now that this is just another nut-case day on Kyle’s right-wing nut-case blog. All the live-long day they extol the virtues of George W. Bush and why we need to elect George W. Bush II to “finish” what George W. Bush the first started. There are still jobs that need to be outsourced. There are still tax cuts to be enacted. There are wars that remain as yet un-started. There regulations that need to be dismantled. Don’t forget about all those green energy projects that Obama started and failed. Yes, hypocrites are us here on Wingfield’s blog.

Ellen DeGeneres Celebrated in D.C. as She Claims Top Humor Prize

3. repealing tax laws that favor offshoring of American jobs

I can agree with some of those, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to raise taxes on everybody in a sluggish economy that is slowing down, nor do I think it is a good idea to reduce military spending at a time when the world seems to be catching on fire, and I definitely think it is a bad idea to get in a trade war over tariffs……..
And the offshoring of jobs has more to do with our own buying habits than anything else……talk to your neighbors if you want that to change……
