The Obama birth certificate cometh; the madness won’t stoppeth

We finally have the birth certificate — I hope no one has to ask “whose birth certificate?” — long form and all.

So, there you have it.

Do I think this will end the debate? No, because conspiracy theorists generally aren’t persuaded by evidence. This was a ridiculous “debate” in the first place, and I expect it to become simply more ridiculous from here on. In fact, I think this may be good politically for President Obama, because the birthers will seem even crazier now.

As for Donald Trump: The potential presidential candidate is claiming the birth-certificate release as a scalp because he was the one who made a (kind of) mainstream issue of it. I disagree. How does it add luster to a candidate to make an issue of something that turns out to be much ado about nothing?

Tall….why wasn’t Obama’s birth certificate an issue when he ran for president the first time? And maybe you looked shady to a would-be employer…maybe that’s why they questioned your birthplace. And finally, Obama’s crirics SHOULD be discredited. Shame on anyone questioning the President for proof of place of birth! They look like s bunch of fools.

People are asking “what took so long?”

Obama didn’t need to do anything, The crazier the birthers got – the more they were tied to the GOP at large. Why do anything that will prevent your opponents from looking crazy?

So I am not sure why he released it now. Maybe he wanted to finish off Trump, take folks off high gas prices for a few days, who knows. Maybe this creates a divide – you either stop being a birther, or you continue with the illusion. Will be easy to tell now.

But I do agree with some that say a lot of Dems thought Bush was involved in 9/11. That conspiracy theory is really more appaling than the birther stuff.

Bottom line – and I am a Dem saying this – the Rs can beat Obama on the issues. They just don’t need this silly stuff.

When I’m losing a legal battle I try to knock out the foundations. So if you can’t beat him at the polls then you have to try to knock out his foundations. Maybe he wasn’t registered to vote in 2008? Or maybe he really wasn’t thirty five years old yet? Wait, that certificate just took care of that one. Good luck in 2012 when we coloreds win again.

Thanks to Tall et al. who make Kyle’s case for him.

As long as there are fools, they will continue to babble and dissemble even when the proof has been laid in their laps.

Tall: Guess what? Obama played you like a fiddle. He let your cause overheat and then sucker-punched with the evidence he held in his hand.

I do like how Trump takes credit for getting Obama to show his birth certificate. Even though it was Trump himself who said the thing didn’t even exist. So he was proven 100% wrong and he’s happy about it? That is awesome denial.

Whether he was born in the US or wasn’t, its a MOO point (as Joey once said)…but we need to focus on BO’s socialist policies that are doing harm to our currency, capitalistic economy and general freedom dwelling way of life. Those coupled with his never ending bailouts (add another 10 Mil for bailing out Morris Brown College) and entitlement spending, are the biggest threat to our country and that is what we need to focus on in order to boot him out of office. Throw in his blatant dissing of everything Christian while bending over backwards to praise everything muslim and that puts it over the top. He is simply the worst president we have ever had and it has zero to do with the color of his skin. Before you looney libs call me a racist, I’m supporting the Herminator, Cain.

I had to prove my citizenship when I recently changed jobs.

They would accept either my passport or my short-form birth certificate. Obama released his short-form birth certificate long ago so he satisfied the requirement an employer makes to determine citizenship.

Funny how the lefties just don’t get it, during the vetting process of an American candidate for president, several things must be produced by ALL candidates. Hey lefties can you name the ONLY candidate that did NOT produce all the required documentation? I bet you lefties would have cried foul is McCain had not produced his birth certificate, and his school records, as required.

I see what you did there, ByteMe: Now we’re not talking about “leaders” but “thought leaders” — which I suppose could be expanded to include anyone with a blog who favors Republican politicians

Palin said it on Fox, so you wouldn’t have read it. Gingrich is claiming he’s going to run for President, so he’s most definitely in the “leader” category.

So ok, Kyle, we’ll play your game for a moment. Is Boehner a leader? Is Cantor? Both have used the coded phrase “I take Obama at his word that he’s an American.” Does that ring a bell? Does that sound like “His mother was an American, so he’s an American, case closed” or does that sound like a way to have it both ways and keep the controversy going without having to take a stand for sanity? Who exactly led on this? Michele Bachmann. After 2 years and when finally pushed. She broke with the crowd. Sad when the crazy lady is the first to bail on the conspiracy.

Not that it matters but someone should delve into a little history and find out if both parents must be citizens in order for a child to be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. A good place to start would be the 1790 Congressional record. I would suggest though that we should be paying more attention to the May 15 arab invasion of Israel. By the way, Israel turns 63 that day.

You seem to have confused WorldNutDaily with the Constitution. Nobody is responsible for that, except you.

Like the Emperor parading down the street, with tiny scepter on display for all the world to see, you embarrassed birthers are fooling no one but yourselves. President Obama made this an issue for political gain. Why is the POTUS wasting time on this? For him to try to turn this into political gain says something about him, and it’s not positive. If the Clinton machine couldn’t disprove his American citizenship, then there is no need to believe otherwise.

President Obama got to where he is because he thinks you’re stupid. He learned his lessons from Saul Alinsky well. If you believe he sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for twenty years and heard nothing, then read his books.

For once, I agree with you Kyle…the madness won’t stop. While taking credit for forcing it’s release, Donald Trump says he won’t believe it until he examines it and verifies it’s authenticity. This is the same man who recently said he hired an investigative team who proved Obama was not born in the US. Wonder if he had a money back guarantee. This is also the same man who basically claimed he’s financially worth whatever he says he’s worth. Of course, this is the same man who is polling number 1 among the list of possible GOP presidential hopefuls.

Tech Man, I don’t think it’s the shrinking budgets so much as the 24/7 news and the “let the viewer decide” approach, all combined with the University of Google syndrome. People really think they can do a couple of internet searches and suddenly, they know it all. And if some “so-called expert” disagrees, well, they’re part of the conspiracy.

Sad. When politicians pander to this crap, we’re pretty much done.

LOL…the Dems don’t want to “lower the deficit” at all. Otherwise, they would cut spending. They have zero desire to do so…they just want to raise the debt limit to tack on another trillion to our existing debt and spend us into oblivion. In order to serious about lowering the deficit, you cannot have ObamaCare in the same sentence. Fiscally, it will not work, it is not possible. Why Dems don’t get more upset at the thought of us going into bankruptcy blows my mind. If that happens, you won’t be able to get healthcare, or gasoline, or groceries cause our currency will be worthless. Wake up you big dummies!! We all pay enough taxes already, we need to cut 25% across the board just to survive and preserve our way of life. The only one who has said anything to date who realizes this is Ron Paul. I laughed at him 4 years ago, but would support him based solely on his support of cutting everything possible, including our military, foreign aid, etc.
