Hey, the turkey thing is a gimmick. The kind of gimmick one would expect of a politician. He pardons one to please the adoring crowds and then goes inside and fills his fat face with another one that someone else killed on his and his family’s behalf. Two-faced propoganda that only the president and the suckup washington media could love.

If the president really wanted to do some pardoning, here’s a short list:

Every federal non-violent drug offender. The war on drugs is a complete failure and has destroyed WAY more lives than drugs themselves have. The war has cost the lives of tens of thousands of americans and is now destroying the country of Mexico. Pardoning all these folks would save the country billions, reunite hundreds of thousands of families for the holidays, and send the message that human beings are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights and one of those is the right to own your own body and to put into it whatever you wish.

Bradley Manning. The leaked Pentagon material that was published by Wikileaks is exactly the kind of truth the american people need to hear about these pointless, criminal, illegal, and immoral wars we are waging against the innocent people of Afghanistan and Iraq. We all know that both wars were started on the premise of LIES so there is no reason to continue them. Someone with the courage of Bradley Manning deserves a presidential pardon and then the Medal of Freedom. Hell, if all of the worthless government bureaucrats who let 9-11 happen either with their complicity or at the minimum their incompetence can get one, this HERO certainly deserves one. Or maybe he is too GOOD for that.

All of the folks in Gitmo or whatever “black” prison they are being held at that have not been charged with a crime, have no evidence against them except the word of the scumbag warlord that received a bounty for them. Most americans are WAY TOO STUPID to understand that millions of people all over the world are thrown in jail for doing nothing other than making someone else unhappy with them. They think that just because someone is in jail they must be guilty of something. They have not committed a crime, have harmed nobody, and have no intention to harm anyone. In america we were supposed to have a justice system that would prevent this kind of crap. At some point while we were busy spreading democracy at the point of a gun, we forgot all about justice, due process, and the rule of law, and just went ahead and allowed our president to become dictator and oppressor of the meek. The blood and lives of these likely innocent men is on all of our hands so long as the war criminal in the white house (Bush included) keeps these folks locked up with no charges, trials, hearings, or even decent care.

That short list would be a great start. Just imagine the message that would send. It would certainly show that there might be hope for this country. I’m not holding my breath.

No More B.O. It stinks!
