A helicopter? A Humvee firetruck? I didn’t even know they made those. But I won’t spoil the ending (from the folks at Not Evil Just Wrong) …

I live Green! In my own little island surrounded by luxury! Oh to be as green as Kermit!
Although I didn’t watch the video, I figured it’s a good summary. . . . or not LOL

One can almost hear him singing, “My Waste Will Go On.”
Someone say hypocrite?
October 21st, 20106:06 pm
James Cameron should stick to making movies.
John Franklin (JF) McNamara
October 21st, 20106:08 pm
Kyle, you’re just hating cause you don’t have a fleet of submarines…:)
October 21st, 20106:11 pm
Why all the wealth envy?
October 21st, 20107:29 pm
Kyle, perhaps you’d be kind enough to provide a list of things that one of the world’s richest men should be allowed to own. People can be hypocritical. No doubt Al and James would set a better example if they lived in solar powered pup tents and ate broccoli they grew with their own two hands. I guess these liberal types are nothing but a bunch of phonies. Wouldn’t it be nice if they were more like the Republicans that have been promising us less government for the last fifty years. I’m told this year they really mean it.
October 21st, 20109:47 pm
Liberalism 101….when you can’t debate on the issues, change them. Nice move, but it doesn’t work anymore. The jig is up. I think Cameron is allowed to do and say and have whatever he wants beause this IS America. The fact is, if you are going to politic for me to live on less, then you have to practice what you preach or YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE. This is typical, behind the scenes, far left liberal behavior. Do as I say, not as I do. This type of behavior should be shown to shed light on this type of thing. That is all….
October 21st, 201011:07 pm
At least he donated $1M to something (even if it is misguided). That’s at least a couple zeroes more than Big Al has doneted in his life.
I’m sure he’s only rich because Bush gave him tax cuts and bail out money.
October 21st, 201011:25 pm
He’s “the king of the world!”
I mean, THE KING OF THE HYPOCRITES!
Also: How stupid, and arrogant, do you have to be to demand that others do with less while you live such a lifestyle!

This video asserts that defeating California’s Prop. 23 “will mean higher prices and job losses.” But Kyle doesn’t inform his readers the first thing about Prop. 23. I guess such videos—think Shirley Sherrod—are what passes for journalism in major metro news blogs…Kyle’s version of fair and balanced.
Prop. 23 is a pro-pollution ballot proposition that is supported by big oil and opposed by, among others, the American Lung Association. And contrary to the video’s false assertions, defeating it would save clean energy jobs, reduce energy prices by creating competition, and help wean California (and us) off of foreign oil.
Is James Cameron a hypocrite? Who cares. Prop. 23 should go down.
October 22nd, 20103:02 am
- The “HYPOCRITE” is the person or persons that made the video.
It’s politically biased.
(1) There are other ways to be energy efficient other than “solar panels”
and “windmills” (efficient appliances ?).
(2) If by “fleet of submarines” you mean the “unmanned” types he used
to film “Titanic” – I don’t see how those are energy hogs that would be
criticized by “green activists”.
(3) Helicopters ? Ducatis ? Bugattis ? Humvee firetruck ?
Maybe the video poster figures Cameron uses some kind of
R/C to “drive his fleet all at once”. As far as “living with less” –
was it a “demand” – or a “suggestion” ?
Maybe he does have too much – maybe he can have a charity
auction to sell off his luxury items. Or maybe he’s no different
than any other “have” as opposed to a “have not”.
Kevin Costner invested in a company that was called in to
assist in the Gulf BP oil spill cleanup efforts.
Bill Gates is sponsoring a new energy efficient engine in the
48-50% range that uses a dual-opposed piston cylinder
design similar to early steam engines. Sometimes the super-rich
invest in alternative energy research for legitimate purposes.

October 22nd, 20105:32 am
How much coal do you think is burned just to cool this hypocrite’s compound?
October 22nd, 20105:47 am
Billybob my man, good morning, What I said was hypocrisy is totally bipartisan. If the Avatar man wants the rest of us to live with less perhaps he should set a better example. On the other hand, if Regan really believed in smaller governments and lower taxes, shouldn’t he have left us with a smaller government and lower taxes when he left office? If senator Craig and representative Foley were really opposed to homosexuality, shouldn’t they refrain from engaging in homosexual acts? Come on guy’s don’t bogart the hypocrisy there’s enough for everybody.
October 22nd, 20106:52 am
No windmills or solar panels…
Did you notice the house was in a valley surrounded by mountains? I don’t think the wind blows much there and the high hills may not make solar effective in this application since they may shade the complex. Also, what are the local laws concerning solar panels and widmills? Here in Ga, neighbors would sue, if not laws already exist that forbid these items as a visual intrusion on your neighbors property. Was any of this discussed, researched, etc. (ps- a car on cement blocks is considered “art” by some!)

Typical liberal left. Do as I say not as I do.
October 22nd, 20108:15 am
You should spend less time ranting your nonsense and spend more time learning how to spell basic words and the names of recent Presidents. Seriously.

Global warming is here to stay. It is very real as evidenced by all the melting glaciers. Most scientists say is is caused by us. They also say if we don’t do something in the next ten years we will reach a tipping point and it will be too late. That means it is already too late. So, those who plan to be around for the next fifty to sixty years need to start preparing for thw worst as that is likely what you will get.

Hope and Change!
Global Warming is real!
Most scientists say…
A tipping point…
I am from the government and I am here to help…

– ??? It’s not primarily a political issue. Hurricanes and droughts
don’t care whether you’re “red” or “blue”.
October 22nd, 201010:25 am
- Same comment is for “chuck” @ 10:24 am.
October 22nd, 201010:26 am
- Typo. Meant to say 10:04 am.
October 22nd, 201010:35 am
Seems to me its the liberal left and the chock full of incompetence-UN pushing this garbage. So therefore it is a Democrat/liberal issue.
PS…Global warming is a farce.
The days of a science-free White House are over.
And don’t shoot the messenger, losers. Cry your Boo Hoo blues to every single scientific institution of national and international standing on the planet. EVERY SINGLE one.You know all those prestigious organizations with long-standing, documented histories of scientific discovery and scientific excellence? The ones who have vastly improved the scientific knowledge of mankind?
Good times in Ostricheville…
October 22nd, 201010:40 am
As usual the global warming advocates only recognize these “scientist” that promote the global warming farce yet those who contend otherwise are, in a word, wrong.
Typical Left thinking and therefore their point is moot.

More from the Liberal Idiots Corner…
“A cameo in ‘Hangover 2′ was supposed to be Mel Gibson’s comeback, but the flick’s star, Zach Galifianakis, and other cast and crew protested — though they reportedly had no problem with Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist.”
October 22nd, 201011:03 am
C’mon deniers, at least get SOME credibility!
Most of you actually were so intransigent that you would not even recognize, and certainly not admit, rising global temperatures.
Then after years of seeing the charts and facts and other irrefutable evidence regarding a sudden and relatively large spike, the more lucid in the ideologically-driven, science-free gang realized that they had to, at a minimum, redraw the game plan and find new stubborn myopic excuses to explain what they had previously and vehemently denied even existed.
You’ve had years and years to trump the accepted theories and have come up with………………..well, let’s just say it is laughably lacking. But then given the fact that most of you are still denying Darwin’s theories after 150 years, this is not surprising.
And that is why the vast percentage of entire educated world, including the acknowledged experts are allied against you.
But keep on grasping at those Republican straws. You’ll need them to drink the Kool Aid…
October 22nd, 201011:11 am
There’s no such thing as global warming. Now please let me put more toxic gas into my air supply.
October 22nd, 201011:14 am
Too bad for the grandkids.
October 22nd, 201011:45 am
Have you never heard of “do as I say, not as I do?” Besides, he’s helping the economy with buying those pricey things.
October 22nd, 201011:56 am
Typically you call someone “politically biased” when they don’t agree with YOU. In other words, ignore he facts and call names.
October 22nd, 201012:00 pm
Fact is science has facts that support global warming and facts that support just the opposite. Add to that the fact that much of these global warming statistics that suggest global warming does exist, are based on falisfied documents that the little house of cards implodes.
Fact is there are no facts to support global warming. Just lies, halftruths and Al Goron.
Did John Travolta and his fleet of jets make that video? Go Green as long as it’s somebody else who does without.
Typical Progressive thinking.
Keep moving people. Nothing to see here….
October 22nd, 201012:11 pm
Add to that the fact that much of these global warming statistics that suggest global warming does exist, are based on falisfied (sic) documents that the little house of cards implodes.
Sorry to be the bearer of yet more bad news, but that claim is patently untrue.
The vast percentage of research and analysis done is by an entire legion of independent and prestigious organizations and institutions, who then compare findings. Those are then peer reviewed multiple times. (Peer review describes a process of self-regulation by a profession or a process of evaluation involving qualified individuals with the related field. Peer review methods are employed to maintain standards, improve performance, and provide credibility.)
Fact is there are no facts to support global warming.
The fact is you have no earthly idea what the word fact ACTUALLY means…
October 22nd, 201012:24 pm
Naw. These insitutions have been caught lying about their numbers and also when ones “baseline” numbers are fabricated, well, garbage in garbage out.
October 22nd, 201012:29 pm
OK, Cheez, believe what ever fantasy you make up.
It doesn’t change a thing though.
The rest of an enlightened planet is going to push ahead with more research, more findings, more improvements and more answers without you.
The embarrassed ostriches will just have to pay the price for sleeping through high school…
October 22nd, 201012:50 pm
I guess I’m a hopeless “tree hugger”, but I would like to see our country push for more environmental-friendly power sources, and as much “green” industrial practices as possible.
It does bother me how hypocritical some of the most outspoken “green” proponents are, like Al Gore having such extravagant power bills and then pretending that it’s OK because he’s going to start paying some company to plant trees as a “carbon offset”…or Ted Kennedy pushing wind power until one of the best locations turned out to be off the Massachusetts coast because “that’s where WE go sailing”…or Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. flying all around the country in a private jet so he can speak out in favor of conserving energy.
All the “Do as I Say, Not as I Do” makes us look bad, and weakens our message.
October 22nd, 20103:05 pm
He has a right to own whatever he wants and to live however he wants. Don’t be lecturing those of us who are members of the Great Unwashed and live with a fraction of the carbon footprint that he does, though. Falls into the “don’t pee in my ear and tell me it’s raining” category.

Ahhh, AmVet and his “charts, graphs, and theories” again.
The FACT is that we are talking about ONE DEGREE of warming over A CENTURY, and you “kool-aid” drinkers want to dismantle the worlds economies over it?! Now, who are the “enlightened ones?”
Also: The FACT is I issued a challenge to all you “champions of science” when it comes to your all-time favorite theory: Darwinian evolution. All I asked for was ONE example of Darwinian evolution contributing to operational science. The FACT is that with all of the libs on Bookman’s blog, including Bookman himself, not one of you could provide a satisfactory example. You’ve only had 150 years of history to fall back on, and you can’t give one example?!!
Again, who are the “enlightened ones?!”
rant and roll

Beginning the Hypocrite list of possessions with a sailboat – might not have been the best way to start. I guess the film makers want Cameron to “share his wealth” with others.
October 22nd, 20105:21 pm
I don’t care if Cameron builds an elevator to his tree house. But to tell others the best thing to do is conserve and stay “green”…then not do it himself!!! That makes him a double dealer of dubious facts and convictions.
And…. THAT I consider poor character and I’ll say so even if he offers me a ride in his firetruck humvee!
October 22nd, 20106:03 pm
Sorry James I met no disrespect to the Gipper. Ronald Reagan 40th president of the United States of America. Did you know that he was actor before he became the savior of the free world? A fine actor too. Bedtime for Bonzo has got to be one of my all time favorites. Did you know that the White House is over 55,000 square feet? Of course only a small part of it is the presidents living quarters. Most of it is devoted to meeting rooms and office space. I’m told they need all the space to run the country. Did you know that Avatar grossed over 2.7 billion dollars? Did it occur to you that a guy that produces billion dollar pictures might require a little more space than the rest of us? Do you know that he’s also involved in underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies? I’m going to go out on a limb here, but maybe Cameron has legitimate uses for a fleet of submarines. Did it occur to any of you that that stupid attack ad was paid for by big oil companies? Do you know that that those same oil companies are almost single handedly producing our trade deficits? The oil companies want us to believe that if we don’t send hundreds of billions of dollars overseas we’ll lose jobs. Want better jobs? keep those hundreds of billions at home. They’d have a hell of a lot more impact than Obama’s stimulus plan. James Cameron is one of the few Guys in America actually contributing to our balance of trade. I noticed that he spent part of his hard earned money buying Harleys Corvettes, Hummers and Ford GTs . Aren’t those made in America? Well enough ranting for now. By the way, the Kenyan usurpers name is not spelled Obozo.
