Veronique de Rugy posted this graphic at National Review Online. Notice her source is the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which tracks actual employment numbers rather than guesstimates based on stimulus dollars spent and multipliers (i.e., if we spent X amount of money we must have created Y number of jobs; no need to actually count them!). She cites January 2008 as the beginning of the recession; the Recovery Act, a.k.a. the stimulus, passed in February 2009.
Oh, and the bill for that $862 billion Recovery Act is in the mail.

Jefferson: Employers don’t hire workers based solely on the conditions of the moment. They look forward. And right now, they see higher taxes and more anti-business rhetoric in their future. The feds cannot spend enough money to make up for this dynamic, which they have created.

1: Oh, so it’s ok for the left to say Bush is a chimp, but Obama OH THE HUMANITY!!!!
2: You wrote a very nasty comment that proves you have a low IQ.
Bottom line: Bookman welcomes people like you to his blog.

The Chimp name had NOTHING to do with Obama’s race. It has more to do with his mentality.

Demwits rules for debate:
1. Blame Bush.
2. If you can’t blame Bush, claim racism.
3. Apply both reason 1 and 2 for more startling effect. Add sexist, homophobe, war-monger, hate-monger, orunpatriotic if situation dictates.
4. If all else fails, deflect to different topic and reblame Bush.
Wham!

How many of the jobs created since the stimulus were Census positions that end in a few months?
I’m a conservative, and I know many people who post here regularly expect everyone to be a knee-jerk ideologue, but doesn’t this chart suggest that Bush added 190,000 government jobs in the last year of his administration, while Obama hasn’t added any except for the Census positions?
Of course, if I really felt like being a knee-jerk ideologue, I could point out that when the government hires someone, they expect them to be productive, while just handing them money has no such requirement.

From author and economist Peter Schiff on the recent economic summit: “Despite the apparent deficit-cutting solidarity that emerged from this weekend’s G-20 meeting in Toronto, it is clear that the great powers of the industrialized world have not been this philosophically estranged since the end of the Cold War. Ironically, in this new contest, the former belligerents have switched sides – the capitalists are now the socialists, and vice versa.”

Cowboy Obama is going it alone now with his obscene, big-government borrowing and spending. The old socialists of Europe have learned from their mistakes. The Idiot Messiah doesn’t even realize he’s made a whole bunch.

There were a whole bunch of Democrats who thought it was funny as all get-out to call our President Bush “Chimpy McFlightsuit”. How about “Chimpy McFailure” for Obama?
Nah, that would be raaaaaaaacist!
