Which Obama do you believe?

From President Obama’s State of the Union speech last night:

But what frustrates the American people is a Washington where every day is Election Day. We can’t wage a perpetual campaign where the only goal is to see who can get the most embarrassing headlines about the other side -– a belief that if you lose, I win.

(snip)

So, no, I will not give up on trying to change the tone of our politics. I know it’s an election year. And after last week, it’s clear that campaign fever has come even earlier than usual. But we still need to govern. (emphasis added)

From Obama’s Organizing for America Web site, updated just after midnight:

I just finished delivering my first State of the Union address.

I set out an urgent plan for restoring economic security for struggling middle class families. This is my top priority, but I cannot do it alone — and that’s why I’m writing to you now.

(snip)

So tonight, I’m asking you to join me in the work ahead. I need your voice. I need your passion. And I need your support.

Can you help fuel our fight for the middle class with a monthly donation of $15 or more? (emphasis added)

As the president himself said last night, “No wonder there’s so much cynicism out there. No wonder there’s so much disappointment.”

Let us then see how much Obumer fudges before rushing to kill the messengers. If “we”, first turns into, “I” can’t wage a perpetual campaign to see who can get the most embarrassing headlines about the other side. I think he left that part out for the readers to decide. Since he left it out of last nights speech, I’d say he is off to a lousy start. Issue the messengers a stay of execution.

Did anyone keep count of how many times Obumer mentioned Bush and the last eight years in the speech? How many headlines were published today about the Supreme Court today? hmm…

You Republicans are just angry Obama is trying to get back the tax dollars your beloved W gave to the bankers.

How do you know when Obama is lying?

When Samual Alito’s lips are moving.

I believe neither of the Obamas nor the other one. They are all liars and cheats.

I don’t believe any of the Obamas, and asking me to contribute $15 or more per month to his slush fund (to be used against me later in the name of “helping” someone) doesn’t wash. I’ve noticed my federal withholding has gone up since Jan 1st on the same income…and he wants me to voluntarily give more? Maybe he should be asking George Soros, Oprah, Michael Moore or King Ted for more money.

Just when I thought weak kneed conservatives had lost their nerve, another patriot tries to break in and tap the phone lines of that Senator in Louisiana. Once in generation we need to remind the American people what kind of people we are.

I still have my gun, my retirement money is 40% higher than 12 months ago. I think I will keep “the change”.

What I infer FROM THE DATA (very different from “believe”) is that we have a president who has an IQ above a hundred, is not a self-centered lazy failure, and is not the witless dupe of elitist special interests. A far cry from the previous administration. You guys field someone who has intelligence beyond that of my dog, can speak (and think) rationally in complete sentences and can actually spell the term “conservative” and I’ll vote for him. Otherwise I’ll continue to put my hope in the other party. At least they put people on the table who care about something else than feeding fat cats and suckerpunching the working class.

LA, we know you were booted from Bookman; probably because of your inability to communicate and your racial connotations. So, now you run over to Kyle to spew your crap. Keep it up; Kyle will boot you too!

Joan, you really should go back, listen to the address again, then comeback an report. The President didn’t say he was pushing for any version of a Health Care Bill. He simply stated that whatever bill hits his desk must include…. Just like LA, you are spewing lies. Your hate lies to deep for comprehension. Sorry for ya.

Kyle, I’m sure by now, you’ve developed an opinion of me; I certainly have of you. And, believe it or not, my opinions of your work are not all that bad. The problem I have is that you allow so may lies to be posted, as though you are advocating some other agenda, rather than discussing and sharing facts. This person or thing called LA is poison. He/she/it is a danger to himself/herself/itself and this society. Are you going to continue to allow this type incitement?

Kyle,

Here is another report which should give your followers reason to believe. Now, if we could get just a litte help from you and Wooten followers, we might get this economy back on track.

LOLOL!!!!!!! You’ll notice that the only time I come back with insults is AFTER a liberal blogger, like you and Finn, come after me.

As far as poison goes, I love who you liberals always try to play the victim card. You throw out insults at other bloggers, THEN if one of them hits you back, you go and cry about it.

Grow up.

First Sergeant: I appreciate your coming on the blog and posting. Here’s my thought on which comments/commenters I do or don’t block:

I take down offensive comments as quickly as I can. I leave up most of the rest on the theory that inane, childish comments reveal something about the commenter and his/her credibility. I let other readers and commenters judge that for themselves — I don’t want to be in the position of giving people credibility they don’t deserve by only leaving up their best comments.

When bickering between two or more commenters reaches the point of distraction, I have and will take further action. (Fyi, LA, we are fast approaching that point on this thread.)

But I also like to have input from readers about what they consider acceptable. I won’t always agree, but the community standards, so to speak, do factor into my decisions.

Thanks Kyle. While I do read most opinions highlighted within the AJC (Tucker, Bookman, Wingfield, Barr and Wooten), I seldomly comment. But, what I’ve seen lately, say over the past year, are people using these forums to spew their hate and bigotry. I’m not a professional school administrator, but I do volunteer at local High Schools, where I mentor young kids, assisting them with their quest at becoming community leaders. Quite often, I insist that the kids read the local newspaper daily and watch at least 30 minutes of news each day. This keeps them abreast of current events, something many of your posters should do. However, I’m rethinking the piece about reading the local newspaper, mainly because of what posters are allow to say publicly on these opinion pages. Particularly lies!!

They should have shown George W. Bush’s appearance before the Democratic Caucus, from when he was in office, right after Obama’s the other night, so that we could all see how much better George handled an unscripted open forum of his political enemies, sans puppet strings, and without sitting on Cheney’s lap with his hand up George’s butt. That would have shut up them damn Libs and shown what a coward Obama is.
