Something tells me this won’t make the greens happy

So much for China being worried about carbon emissions? GM agrees to sell its Hummer brand to a Chinese company.

This line from the Washington Post story on the deal is just sad:

In a twist that reflects changes in the U.S. and Chinese economies, the deal transfers the Hummer brand from an American company owned by the U.S. government to a Chinese company that is private.

Now ‘ya see, Kyle, this is what I’m talkin’ bout. Obama likes to give the impression or actually believes that nothing stands between him and his lofty goals. He don’t live in the real world where the rest of us reside.

Even a dictator’s powers are limited to his near abroad.

He hasn’t a clue about the strategic (self-serving) interests of other countries. As far as he’s concerned, the river runs through him, not around him.

Such a guppy.

In my view, I don’t think China really gives a damn about what the U. S. or the rest of the world thinks. They do what they think is best for themselves and if they’re liked fine, if not fine.

The Washington Post quote says it all. As the rush to big government, and socialist policies grips the US and apparently thrills many, socialist countries of the world recognizes the strengths America once had and rush to embrace those ideals. The policies the left call “progressive” are actually right out of Europes 1950s playbook.

Who cares?

The only people who buy Hummers are those with serious inadequacy issues. The company loses money and the products are a joke. Maybe we finally pulled one over on the Chinese by getting rid of that turkey.

We ought to throw in the entire Saturn company for an extra dollar.

The nerve of the Chinese thinking only of themselves. There are so many needy Hummer owners here that need another one to… We Americans think of others all the time. I’m thinking about a cute Korean girl right now.
