Keep talking Dawgs!

A personal note: Many of you will recall my writing about my Dad, who raised me as a Georgia Bulldog from as early as I can remember, sent all three of his sons to the University of Georgia, and who, even at the age of 89, has continued to wear his collection of UGA caps proudly.classic uga logo

Well, I’m sorry to report that Dad is in failing health in Athens and I’m shuttling back and forth between there and Atlanta, so my blogging this week may be less frequent. I appreciate your understanding and your good thoughts and prayers.

Even if there isn’t a new posting here, feel free to continue discussing the Dawgs in the comments, but please keep it clean and civil. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your father. Lets hope the Dawgs put the finishing touches on this recruiting class. I have a feeling that some craziness is gonna go down this year with some of the late news about Brown, etc… While we’ll miss him, that shakes up the scenario a bit for other recruits.

BILL:
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD. HE WILL BE IN OUR PRAYERS. HE RAISED A GOOD SON WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY A TRIBUTE TO YOU.

UGA NEEDS TO QUIT TALKING AND START DOING. THERE IS WAY TO MUCH BARKING GOING ON AT UGA AND NEVER ENOUGH BITE. GETTING PEOPLE TO CONCOT PHRASES LIKE “DREAM TEAM” ARE CRAZY. YOU NEVER BAMA OR LSU DO THAT. THESE PROGRAMS LIVE THEIR DREAMS.

RICHT WAS HIRED TO WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. SINCE THE FIRST BCS TITLE WAS WON IN 1998 BY TENNESSEE, LSU, ALABAMA, FLORIDA, AND NOW WAR EAGLE AUBURN HAVE ALL WON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! UGA HAS NOT EVEN PLAYED FOR ONE!

RICHT ISN’T A CHAMPIONSHIP COACH—–WE ALL KNOW THAT. WITH COACHES LIKE BOBO UGA MAY NEVER GET THERE EVEN WITH “THAT CAKEWALK SCHEDULE” NEXT YEAR.

UGA NEEDS TO QUIT TALKING AND DREAMING AND START DOING!

TAKE CARE OF YOUR DAD AND GOD BLESS HIM AND YOU!

Harold- You show your true colors by saying “RICHT WAS HIRED TO WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP”. He was hired to compete for championships and hopefully win 1 or 2. In the same breath, More importatnly, UGA cares about those kids growing up from a wide eyed freshman to hopefully leaving Athens as men. Not all do but that is one of the main goals as most kids will never see the NFL riches and therefore they need that education that UGA provides. I don’t see that as a goal at many places including UA or LSU.

Sorry to hear about your father.

Can you walk into Chip Towers office when you get back and punch him in the face for all of us UGA fans??? Those articles about Sanders are the dumbest and worst written articles the AJC has ever posted.

How in the heck do you even try to make a story out of a checked box that says number of occurrences 1-5????? How about leaving it alone and stop looking like a moron, it could just as easily been the first occurrence since you know it does include the number 1. He must have gotten destroyed on his blog bc he cut off comment section on it.

The Second article on Sanders was just to slander his and UGAs name. Surprised there was an editor dumb enough to let it get posted.

We have seen the DEGREES UGa players plan to use in the real world. You think players are really thinking about not going to the NFL? Haha that is RICH!

Check those degrees and who the corresponding player is. The ones with the best shot at NFL usually have a less demanding major (Speech communications, which really helps them practice public speaking for the NFL) and then those that will never even sniff it usually have some good degrees.

Not every football player plans on taking it easy, Avery Young will be an engineering major wherever he goes soo…….
