A few reasons Georgia Bulldogs fans should feel great (or not)

Isaiah Crowell showed some nifty moves again Saturday. (Brant Sanderlin / AJC)

Isaiah Crowell showed some nifty moves again Saturday. (Brant Sanderlin / AJC)

A few more reflections on why a Georgia Bulldogs fan should feel great after the win over Mississippi State …

Isaiah Crowell might have a long way to go in terms of SEC caliber stamina, and he’s also still looking for his first long touchdown run after Saturday’s apparent 49-yard scamper was ruled out of bounds. But he’s already shown he has the moves to be a big-time running back. His elusiveness on that erstwhile scoring run brought quite a few wows from the crowd. …

The defense continues to impress and improve, breaking up more passes in the past couple of weeks than a Bulldog fan can remember seeing in a long time. …

Brandon Boykin returning punts as well as kickoffs is a smart move on the part of the Georgia coaching staff. He had two nice returns Saturday and it’s a pretty safe bet he’s going to break another long one all the way sometime soon. …

One of the big reasons the D is looking so good lately is Sanders Commings, who against MSU had three tackles, returned a fumble, snagged an interception and broke up two other passes that he almost (and perhaps should have) intercepted, one of which he easily could have scored on. …

It was great seeing Christian Robinson back on the field calling the defensive signals in the two-minute defense and on third downs. …

And thanks to the losses Saturday by South Carolina and Florida, the Dawgs still have more to play for than just pride.

Too bad Cornelius Washington didn't confine his celebrating to the field Saturday. (Brant Sanderlin /AJC)

Too bad Cornelius Washington didn't confine his celebrating to the field Saturday. (Brant Sanderlin /AJC)

Of course, there are also a few reasons for Dogs fans still to feel a bit uneasy …

The continuing struggles of the field goal unit and the second-half disappearing act of the offense for the second straight week. …

The sneaking suspicion that Mark Richt continuing to show a lack of faith in his offense in short-yardage situations might be turning into a self-fulfilling prophecy. At least Richt understood the boos after he opted to go for a field goal on fourth-and-short only to see the kick muffed. “If I was up in the stands, I wouldn’t have too thrilled about those couple of plays either,” he said.

Cornelius Washington’s celebrating of his best game as a Dog lasting a bit too long, resulting in him being suspended for the next two games just as he was really starting to click as a pass-rusher. …

CBS’ Gary Danielson saying that Saturday’s results leave Georgia “in the driver’s seat” in the SEC East. True or not, I’d much rather the Dogs continue operating under the radar of the national sports media for now. …

And after a glorious fall day in Athens, I wasn’t the only fan lamenting that the schedule will keep the Dogs away from Sanford Stadium for the next five weeks, meaning no more home games during the absolutely best month of football weather.

What has you feeling good or not so good about the Dawgs at this point in the season?

Our defense is the real deal! Todd Grantham only has one recruiting class under his belt and we are becoming a really fine defense! The best is yet to come for the Dawgs! We just need to be patient! I know everyone gets tired of telling themselves that including me! DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS! JUST ASK ALABAMA!

I’m with Fred. Ignore the trolls and enjoy the wins. Tennessee put their numbers up against inferior teams. UF stopped them and so can we. Improved consistency on offense puts us in position to be competitive in every game. Bring on the Vols.

The defense has me feeling real good even if the last few opponents were sub-par. The improvement of KG and addition of JJ I believe has helped the D immensely. CMB needs to get IC the ball in space by throwing him a screen pass or a swing pass so he is one on one with a LB and in space.

Fred, please don’t even mention Alabama and UGA in the same posting. Who has UGA played that is worth a darn? Boise? We saw how that turned out.

If somehow UGA makes it to Atlanta do you really want to see what Bama will do to the Dawgs? Russ would probably drop dead at the site of the horrific beating UGA would receive.

The Washington incident will have some real affects on the pass rush in Knoxville this weekend. I hope we can mitigate the his loss with a better interior rush from our nose men.

Also, Bobo’s play calling in the second half was just awful. I was predicting his plays from the couch. Sometimes he looks like a genius when he calls well-timed plays to get our play makers in space. Then he calls three blast plays with 160lb Carlton Thomas. I have no idea why we don’t run counters, stretch’s and sweeps exclusively with Thomas and Crowell. Also, I am begging for a slant or bubble screen with Mitchell during those blitz situations. Please Bobo!

Our receiving corp is much better than expected, and Murray is playing about where I thought he would.

Defense is playing well right now. Can’t drop those interceptions against Florida and Auburn. Some lapses in the tightness of the zone. Would like to see more press coverage from our athletic corners. Would kill a lot of those 5 yard zone routes that seemed to kill us against Boise and Carolina.

Hunter isn’t playing, so I’m confident our secondary can contain Tennessee’s receivers. I think the D will play well, but I am worried about the offense… we can’t be that sloppy in the second half against the Vols… Murray needs to get back to playing like he was before the game yesterday and I think if that happens we could back on track offensively. Go Dawgs.

Tyler Bray will see that our secondary is nothing to throw at. He’ll throw at least 2 picks. Our secondary is just too good not to pick him off. And since Tennessee is a pass happy offense, he’ll get sacked a lot too. If they try to run it with Tauren Poole, we’ll shut him down too.

I don’t think Auburn is that good, I just think Garcia is terrible this year. Maybe Shaw isn’t any good either, but I think it’s time he gets some playing time. Auburn’s defense shouldn’t do that to anyone. Also, I was really impressed with Alabama’s defense last night! I thought they would contain Demps and Rainey, but not completely shut them down. My main concern is when is Mark Richt and Bobo gonna stop being complacent with the lead. That game should’ve been a blowout. I’m glad we won but it’s like they are satisfied with just having a lead. We need to get back to the days when we had somebody down we stepped on their throat. They stop being aggressive with the play calling. I’m just waiting for it to come back around and bite us. Let’s put these guys away!!!!

Tyler Bray loves to sling the rock and I don’t blame him. He’s like 6′6 and can really chuck it. But he better be careful. Honestly, I’m not worried about the defense against Tennessee, they’ll do their job, I’m worried about the offense’s ability to not count on the defense to bail them out of games. We need to score every chance we get. Why don’t we step on an opponent’s throat? The defense will be on point, but the offense needs to equal the intensity.

I can see this team finishing the regular season at 10-2 and playing Bama or LSU in the SEC Championship. I can also see this team finishing 8-4 or 7-5. The good news though is that we have yet play a full 60 mins. If we do , then watch out SEC. I think it’s fair to say this team is far better than last season. My assessment so far is that Boise State is really that good and the South Carolina game should of been a blowout in our favor. I think facing off against Boise and SC to start the season helped us as a team. Facing off against wussies like Georgia Southern, UAB, FAU, Kent St, etc would have set us up for failure. Sort of like it’s done for Florida. When you play a weak team, the team doesn’t give it’s all and it’s not getting hit in the mouth at all by an inferior opponent. But when you play a team that can actually give you fits, their so used to playing sorry teams that they don’t know how to respond when getting punched in the mouth. As I watch film on Tyler Bray, that guy is tall as hell but he doesn’t have real good mobility. He’s the Ryan Mallett for Tennessee. He’s tall and can see the entire field but his mobility is lacking. If you get to him, don’t worry about him running away from you because it won’t happen. He tends to stare down his receivers as well. Remember Tennessee has only played one tough game. They are still finishing up their cupcakes. They’ve played Montana, Cincinnati, Florida, and Buffalo. Eating too many cupcakes to start the season. The one real game they played, they lost.

Longest 4th quarter ever when MY team was ahead. Go to line, stand and look at sideline until the play is called in with 8 seconds left on the play clock, snap the ball with 1 second left to run inside for a 2-4 yard gain, and then do it all over again. Good grief! It’s not like MSU was an offensive juggernaut who was going to score a TD the minute they got the ball. Did you see Alabama run out the clock last night against Florida? They did it by scoring TDs and it worked well. I stayed at Sanford until the end but could not blame the fans who left early when they realized the last quarter would be agonizing to watch and we would not be seeing any subs.

Why can’t we put points on the board so we can get some PT for the guys who practice hard and never get to play? Why not get Mason some experience? Who will howl loudest and make excuses if Murray gets hurt and we have to play Mason?

3rd down and an inch at midfield. Toss the ball backwards to Samuel. Seriously???

Come on guys! DUI is bad, but so is driving 90+ in a 55mph zone. He is fortunate it turned out as well as it did. It’s his immaturity and, of course, the fault is all his. Glad he is remorseful, but don’t think Coach Richt should be telling us how “hurt” he is; deserves to sit out and think how “hurt” his family or the families of his passengers would have been if he had run off the road or crashed into an innocent person.

Kudos to Coach Grantham! The D has done an awesome job and plays hard. It will have to be even better if we don’t pick up the O.

Yes, but lets wait and see how and if we’ve improved by the end of the seasnon AND where we stand before we start saying we can beat the #’s 1 and 2 teams in the country. This player should be arrested, and suspended from further SEC play, making the 70-man Mississippi State traveling roster. Their University should see to this, themselves.

Agree with Fred that the D is real and on the right track. Feel just as strongly that the O is not because (1) a good middle school coach could probably have predicted with 80% probability what types of plays the dawgs were going to run in the 2nd half, & (2) it’s difficult for the O-line to feel really confident about their abilties when their coach won’t go for it on 4th & 5 inches deep in an opponents territory. As Andy Reed said this morning on Mike & Mike about the Eagles, ‘we were up good in the 2nd half & took our foot off the gas and ended up loosing”. That’s going to be CMR talking about the dawgs maybe 3-4 times during the reaminder of this season if we don’t start playing 60 minutes if football. Solution – make Bobo the QB coach and go find a true world-class O-coordinator. CB

We should be concerned about a good hit on Crowell or Murray. Lose one of those players and UGA will look worst than Fl. did against Ala. after Brantley went down. We have no depth(game experience) at those positions. Unlike Ala. our “drop off”, between starters and backups overall, is great.

Offensive Line remains a work-in-process after 3 years.

It is frustrating to watch game coaching and lack of offensive excecution in the second half.

Georgia has to focus on eliminating mistakes…penalties, missed scoring opportunities, and short yardage situations. This MUST BE A ONE GAME AT A TIME TEAM. Focus on the task at hand and do not worry about what the rest of the league is doing.

Tennessee is still in rebuilding mode. However, no Bulldog should discount their talent, their coaching, or the advantage playing at home gives the Vols. Georgia must play their game and respect the football.

1. Defenses maybe…. but I will tell you that (it’s obvious to any real football fan) that the offensive play calling and the ability to manage (outcoach) the other team is in strong favor of Alabama….not even close

The Alabama team is better prepared and play so much more disciplined than UGA does. Alabama QB looks like a 5th year senior against Fla…ours threw 3 picks against Miss St…..

WE HAVE A Long way to go before we are ready to match up against Bama and LSU…………We have the talent…..

we need a better offensive game plan….more discipline from the head coach…….see how many times we celebrate after a first down………Bama didn’t celebrate that much after scoring touchdowns against Fla…..

Remember Southerland and Chapas ? We sure let them tote the rock on short yardage situations didnt we ?

Murray throwing 3 more picks, 1 for a TD is cause for alarm. He throws some nice balls sometimes but he mixes in plenty of dumb decisions and bad one’s too. Not ready to pull the plug on him but if the offense wouldn’t go V-A-N-I-L-L-A in the 2nd half when they are up (maybe making it 35-10) then Hutson Mason could get a little work in.

That UGA offense is not the best unit take real insider information does it? I’m still puzzled why people continue to insist that there is a any wisdom to “demoting” your OC (to a position coach of that I would argue is not without blame). This is the season that the defense is stabalizing and the offense can be evaluated after the season. Either keep him, or make a move in another direction, don’t do something stupid like demote him to a position coach and handcuff the entire hiring process. And how on God’s Green Earth is coach Richt going to step in week 6 and start calling the plays? You know, Richt HAS the ability to communicate to the booth right now IF it were a matter of him knowing a better play to go with . We all realize that, right?

“GT would win the SEC (L)East…”

GT Joe, I certainly give you credit for your bravado as a Yellow Jackets fan. Hopefully, for the team’s sake, Paul Johnson and the Jackets will be able to focus on the upcoming games against Clemson and Georgia.

If the Jackets beat the one team from the SEC Eastern Division which they are actually scheduled to play this season, we can certainly talk about them playing a full SEC schedule in 2012. Rumor would have it that there’s a fourteenth slot currently open . . . all Georgia Tech has to do is apply.

Until then, you might want to stop righting checks with your mouth that your favorite team can’t afford to cash.

“FL actually really impressed me. That Brantley kid is unreal, looks like Tom Brady to me. He can pick most other SEC team apart.”

Not sure of you’re being sarcastic or not. IMHO, Brantley has a lot of potential as a college quarterback, but it’s tough to throw a football when you’re lying on your back. The Gators’ big problem is not their quarterback, it’s their offensive line. The Gators may win the SEC East with a 6-2 or 5-3 record this year, but they’re not going to be a real top-10 team until their O-line play radically improves.

SEC fans crack me up. Your league has A LOT of weak teams. Sure, you’ve had the national champs the last 5 years or whatever. Just means that the top team in your league is GREAT. Doesn’t say much for the other 11.

This year, it really is 2 great teams and the 10 dwarfs. Don’t get me wrong, those 2 teams are incredible though. I can see the SEC in the BCS title game again….a loss to GT though.

Alphare, the Gators’ two best offensive linemen from 2010 are now starting for the 2011 Miami Dolphins (Mike Pouncey) and the 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers (Marcus Gilbert). Pouncey’s twin brother Maukice was our best O-lineman in 2009, and he is already in his second season as a starter with the Steelers. Three NFL rookie starters is a pretty serious talent loss on the offensive line. Yes, there is lots of young talent, but linemen take the longest to develop . . . .

After last weekend’s beating by Alabama, I suspect the young ones are ready to learn.

As for John Brantley, it appears that he is going to miss at least the LSU game, maybe more. I feel badly for the Brantley family. His uncle Scot Brantley was an All-American linebacker for the Gators in the late 1970s, but had his 1979 senior season ended by a brain injury (he later played for Tampa Bay). His father and namesake was the Gators’ starting QB in 1978, but also had his college career cut short by injury. The Brantleys are starting to look like the Kennedy family of Gators football.

I’m not ready to write off the 2011 SEC football season for teams other than Alabama and LSU. If the Gators can get through this Alabama-LSU-Auburn-Georgia stretch with at least two wins, they’ll have a more than respectable season. South Carolina is as likely as any team to win the East. Georgia may yet redeem themselves with improving play. Arkansas looked pretty darn resilient against Texas A&M this past weekend, and Auburn clearly is not ready to give up. Mississippi State is better than their record. Vanderbilt could be bowl eligible. Looks like the SEC has two serious BCS title contenders and at least five other solid bowl teams.

About Miss State, as Spurrier once put it, teams without much history tend to give up easily. I think that’s what’s going on with Miss State. The loss to Auburn takes its toll on the players, so is LSU.

Spurrier puts SC on a good path, Miss State can do the same with Mullen. But it will take time and patience as SC has gone thru.

First of all, i want to congratulate the DAWGS on another positive step forward and SEC game won. I wont take anything away from a win and I am excited about how we look on defense.

With that said, I am very concerned about Murray’s play and attitude. When evidence as well as every voice on message boards and in the news saying he looks down receivers, throws into coverage often, simply misses receivers, and doesnt use his feet virtually anymore, it throws up serious red flags. I CAN NOT understand that when we are winning 21-3 and our QB throws a third interception for a pick-6, why Richt didnt put in Mason – at least to give him some experience. Everyone is worried about him transferring so why dont we EVER give him a chance in a real game when the situation reflects the need. It is very concerning that Richt doesnt understand a back up QB is not there to just come in when the starter is hurt. I certainly understand loyalty and the whole “dont switch horses” arguement but seriously – when do you use a quality backup with untested potential but a game like the MSU one and 3 picks by your starter??

Again – I am NOT saying Murray should not be our starter – BUT can anyone here tell me a well-thought-out reason for why Mason didnt play at all at MSU??

Desert Fox

What concerns most folks w/eyeballs and a brain are the blown scoring opportunities in the past 2 games especially 2nd half game naps the offense has been taking. The offense is inconsistent taking two steps forward then one step back. The playcalling on 4th and an INCH against MSU should have been a sneak by the QB. Instead a slow developing handoff to Samual resulted in losing yardage and turning the ball over to MSU. Those type of miscues along w/dropped int’s, throwing int’s for TD’s, way too many missed FG’s, key suspensions, will undoubtedly come back to haunt this team possibly as soon as next w/e in Knoxville. You cannot continue to play like this giving up potential points w/the likes of TN, AU and FL left to play.

This team and its coaches have a ways to go before “they’re in the drivers seat” for the SEC east crown. that is a kiss of death label IMO. Clean up their act and play 60 minutes of FB if you want to look like champions. AL showed us what a good FB team does to win games. Play like they play and brother see what that does for fan confidence.

A two-game suspension for Washington is absolutely NOT appropriate. Considering how many people this irresponsible moron could have killed, dismissal from the team and from the university is the only appropriate action.

This was the 45th arrest of a UGA player in the past four years, with more than half the arrests involving alcohol. If Mark Richt was serious about keeping his players in line, an alcohol-related incident would result in automatic dismissal. Obviously Richt cares too much about his bloated paychecks to take meaningful action.

And by the way, Washington is NOT a kid, he’s 22 and legally an adult. If he can’t act like a responsible adult, get rid of his sorry ass and send him home, where he can stay drunk if he wants.

Compare this to Saban’s actions against FL when announcer gary Danialson commented on AL’s leading FL 24-10 but his offense had 2 consecutive series of three and out before telling his OC to put the foot to the pedal again before giving FL the chance to come back and turn this game around in their favor. The D is coming on strong, but the O is a joke and maybe that’s why UGA can’t bring in the big time recruits needed to get the job done. Crowell looks well, but he needs to donate more time to the weightroom and overall conditioning. To become truly great, you have to go the extra mile in the offseason. The playcalling is the pits. Bobo continues to screw up the offense. After the screwups over the past few year, you would think a person will figure out his misstakes. It’s past time for him to go because the O needs an octane boost. A lot of talent on the field but, not in the coaching booth. Richt is going to have to make the call if he wants this team to compete at a high level.

are you sure you really get a UGA education? UGA is like a company setup by the tax payers.

Does GA Athletic Association own the company or the tax payers own the company? or GA Athletic Association hijacked the tax payers?

which is it? Your UGA education should help you answer that question, shouldn’t it?

In the first half Sat., we run most of our offensive plays out of the I-formation. This kept Miss. State on their heals. The I keeps the defense honest. The linebackers have to respect the run first, and it gives the quaterback an extra second on pass plays. Bobo almost completely abanded the I in the second half.

“Desert Fox, it’s called executing the plays…..sometimes people forget to give credit to the other team…..and try to find scapegoats if their team doesn’t execute every play of every game to their expected results.”

Top. I respectively disagree. I would agree if GA was consistent in executing their running game. But they have trouble doing it and have been that way for past several seasons. What pulls GA’s bacon outta the fire is their passing game, not running, especially against SEC teams. When Bobo makes comments about running the clock at the beginning of the 2d half its nonsense. They executed well in the first half because they threw the ball. Their 1st TD consisted of one run then a pass to the TE for a TD. Why take your foot off the pedal in the beginning of the 2d half to run the clock?? You run clock at the end of the game not the 2d qtr and thats what Bobo tried to do and look at the results in the 2d half, 3 points.

If something is working you keep doing it until it stops then adjust. Why put your team in a position of failure so early in the 2d half. GA is too inconsistent in the running game to run clock at such an early stage in the game. If they want to put a fork in the opponent (as CMR has noted) do what works on Offense that got the lead before depending on running clock way too early in the game.

Guy’s seriously slow down here… unfortunately Georgia hasn’t beaten honestly that are worth a damn… yes they won the last couple of weeks against Ole Miss and MSU; but, remember they only won by 2 td’s… Now I will preface this by saying they should have won each game by 35, they did dominate each team. What is disturbing is the lack of a killer instinct to just put your foot on their throat when they are down. Bama or LSU wouldn’t let up remember that. They still can’t run consistently and the offensive play calling is inconsistent at best. The next 3wks leading up to Florida will determine any change’s- hint Bobo get your act together…

is it the plays from the OC, checkdowns from the QB, o-line don’t know where to go and what to do, receivers don’t know their routes. if so, why? they changed out the line coach. they have receivers with 3 years in the program (they should know the system).
the best performing receivers are freshmen. where are the 3 year boys with game experience?

Suspend him for the Vandervilt and New Mexico state games ! I don’t understand why these players continue to get DUI’s ! How about telling the players not to drink until after the season. I think it is a STUPID POLICY to suspend them for games. THAT’S WHY THEY ARE HERE ON A SCHOLARSHIP! They are no good to the university unless they play ! When’s the last time UGA beat Tennessee in Knoxville? I believe that was when Verron Hayes did the Hobnail Boot Houdini trick at the last minute.

We will get routed by both. Not because of our exceptionally talented players, but because of coaches, their game plan and play calling, and their choices of who they play versus who they bench.

Hope everyone doesn’t start getting ahead of themselves. At this point in the season, there is no way that we could play with Bama or LSU. Look what happened to the Gators. They were overrated and got exposed in the worst possible way. Bama was their only true competition thus far and told them Sat. what kind of team that they have. They got humiliated and absolutely drubbed. If the Dawgs can play competitively for all 4 quarters then we have the talent to be a fierce competitor to all that we face and stay on the field with them. The D looks sharp and I am confident in their ability to shut down most offenses. The O is another story. The Dawgs are not able to pull away from the competition in the 2nd half and that’s worrisome. Murray has got to be more accurate and Walsh has to work out his issues for us to even consider winning the rest of the games on the sked. One game at a time guys. GO DAWGS!

Lots of Kool-Aid being quoffed this week. Offensive play calling is as stiff as a grade school playbook. The D is playing better but this is between the fifth and sixth game. The only decent teams Georgia has played have defeated the Bulldogs. If Georgia, and they will, plays any other decent teams, those decent teams will beat the Bulldogs. Georgia Football has devolved into a charity program for half hearted athletes ‘led’ by men of no vision. No wonder the coach is known as a ‘player’s coach’.
Coach has low expectations. Coach has no fire. Coach already working up the 2011 edition of the wait until next year pep talk. Be a shame to turn over the Dream Team to some outside agitators.
Muschamp is licking his lips. The Georgia game is an expected win for the Gators this year.It is not for the Bulldogs.
And the cheerleaders cooed, “Midi”, and the zombies in the stands yelled, “Ocrity” Not too loud mind you, not too loud. The AD and the Prez wooing Mizzou under the stands. The coach? He’s not fussing at anyone. He is serene. All staff and team deficiencies are understood, and forgiven.
More Kool-Aid?

Mark this down—florida’s defense got rolled by Alabam’s run game and they have a freshman QB who is not that good. Georgia can finally beat them easily in Jacksonville!! The Dawgs beat Tennessee and will own the SEC east!!!! UGA v. Alabama for the SEC title!!!

Here’s an idea, screen and short, high percentage passes to our backs out in space!!!!

And how about breaking out some Red Bull during half time!!!!!

ugly.

UGA vs Alabama for the SEC title ?

ugly.

I shudder to even think about it.

How many years have we had the better-talented team than Florida and LOST down there in Florida ?

We have averaged the # 7 recruiting class all 11 years of Mark Richt, averaging both Rivals and Scout rankings.

And, excuse me – while I am at correcting your DISNEYdawgs.com post dawg1, sixteen (16) times Mark Richt has had the vastly superior talent in his 11 years and LOST and 10 of those 16, even with their win over Mak Richt and his “coaching staff,” the sorry opponent who beat us, was still not even ranked in the Top 25 for that season.

ugly.

ugly to even contemplate.

Red Bull might work.

Try giving some to the coaches, too.

Bottom line is Georgia’s record proves that they beat average and lesser teams. When uga playes ranked teams they lose. What is NOT true about that statement. You’re still bragging?
Go Vols !

Works great — between the 30 yard lines. Not so well in the defensive sardine tin that is the red zone.

Reasons for feeling good? Well, let’s see…

1. Four different SEC teams have won the last five BCS championships.

2. UGA was not one of those teams.

3. During that period, UGA did not win the SEC championship.

4. During that period, UGA did not even win its SEC division.

5. Red panties.

In other words, UGA has sunk into total irrelevancy both regionally and nationally.

So why is UGA paying Mark Richt millions of dollars a year?

driskel has looked terrible in the last 2 game with fumbles and bad throws. Grantham’s D will shut him down cold. Dawgs beat florida, 27-10.

I see evidence that we are CLOSE to being really good. Both the D and O units have played very well for long stretches of games. If we can just play with enough consistency to put together complete games, we could be very good. Yes, I realize that many teams could say that, but I’ve seen Georgia teams that just don’t have the pieces. This team does. I would love to see them put it together. I’m not saying we could compete well with Bama or LSU, but we could establish ourselves as the 3rd best in the conference and a top 15 or so team.
