Our panel of judges has selected the four finalists in our Junkyard Blawg Fan of the Week contest, with this week’s theme being the ultimate Bulldogs fan.
Now it’s up to you to select the ultimate fan by voting in the poll. Our finalists include a family that has given its lawn the ultimate Bulldogs treatment, a fan whose Bulldog room comes complete with a Christmas tree decorated with UGA ornaments, a disabled little girl who isn’t able to attend many games but who was thrilled to meet up with the Georgia cheerleaders, and a fan who takes tailgating so seriously that he has coordinated his shirt with the tablecloth. Woof!
The winner will receive three seats in one of the sky boxes at Sanford Stadium for the final home game this Saturday, plus the winning photo will be shown on the stadium’s big video screen before the game.
Who deserves to be our ultimate fan?
Fan No. 1
Fan No. 2
Fan No. 3
Fan No. 4
Who should win our ultimate fan contest?
Total Voters: 862

What about the guy w/the vandy band? If that’s not spirit I don’t know what is. I mean he took on the opposing team’s band. That’s gotta be worth something

How about those Florida Gators, 20 wins in a row. I think we should send them a card and a gift basket.

#3….this girl is a true Dawg fan and does not anything get in the way of her love of the Bulldogs. She uses her “Bulldog” heart to help get her though her many medical challenges…she is the epitome of Bulldog toughness and Beauty!

Hell, anyone can paint their yard, have a Georgia room (I’ve got a better one than that) or lay on a tailgate table.
Baylie’s display of sheer courage, continued cheer and Dawg spirit through multiple surgeries and crippling pain personifies the heart and toughness of a true Bulldog. Plus she’s every bit as beautiful as the cheerleaders she’s posing with. GO #3!!!!!

It’s easy to kiss off a vote for #3 as one of pure sympathy, but I know this little girl, disabled since birth, is as true and faithful a Dawgs fan as any alum. The trip to the game would be one of the big highlights of her very young life on both counts.

#3 is the WORLD’S biggest Dawg fan – and she’s got a slew of people who believe in her kind of courage. When the going gets tough, Baylie hunkers down. It’s not about things, it’s about HEART! You go, cuz!

The word “disabled” does not describe Baylie (#3)…she’s a bright, sweet, polite kid with more character and courage than most. Also been raised right by her dad to be a DAWG fan extraordinaire! All the pool gang is cheering you on!

Baylie is #1 (although she’s pictured in photo #3). She is an inspiration to all of us (Google Baylie Symms to learn more about her). Baylie is one fine, sweet little lady who loves the Dawgs… even as they struggle this season. But, when you appreciate what the real trials of life are, you can put a few losses of mere football games into perspective. You go girl… we’re all pulling for you to get better… and pulling for the Dawgs to win out, as well. Woof-woof!!

I am surprised to see that the picture of the guy waving his flag deliberately in front of the Vanderbilt band is not one of the finalists. Sure all these pictures show that the individuals are fans, but the Vandy picture was clearly an example of true UGA pride. I think his picture should be included among the finalists pictures.

None of these are really stand out. I thought this was suppose to be about showing Dawg pride? My vote is for the kid at the Vandy game. True Dawg fans have the guts to cheer for their team in the mist of the opposing team and this kid did it in front of the opposing team’s band?? Am I the only person who sees this as epic? I’d buy the kid tickets if I ever met him. I say bring his picture back.

I would like to thank all who have expressed such kind words for my daughter. Baylie has taken every thing life has ever thrown at her with a smile. I do not say this to get more votes, I say this as an appreciation. It has made her day to see these votes and comments. I would say more but believe it or don’t, this is not to get more votes, it is just a thanks. It has been a real tough year for Baylie. This response means more than I can describe. Do not feel sorry for her, she brightens the lives of everyone she meets. I did not want to post anything because it might influence the voting. But I did not want anyone to think Baylie was not grateful. So, I busted our rule to say, Thanks, really, just thanks.
Proud to be Baylie’s Dad.

Normally, judging by the school name, you might think that. But Wofford is a very good team. Give the Dawgs a chance, and soon you’ll see them dance. I guarantee it (just not this year). This team will bring excitement and wins very soon. Woof-woof! Come see ‘em @ The Coliseum!

Fan 3 is the clear winner.
Fan 1: Looks like a Florida fan standing in his neighbors yard.
Fan 2: Why? I am a big Dawgs fan but i always have to ask that question whenever I see something like this.
Fan 4: Word cannot describe the idiocy here. What is going on in his mind. “I’ve got the best idea ever – Ill dress up like a tablecloth.” First, taking up table space at a party not only displaces things like chips and beer pong or flip cup, but also impedes drinking.
