I will give Joe is props, he has been a fighter in every game this year and you can see that he wants to win every game that he plays. I was really upset with stafford last year towards the end of the season when he was looking at his watch instead of the play clock to see how much longer it would be before he gets a check. But even with a mediocre season Cox is still going out and being a leader.

It will be interesting to see how history treats Cox an a mediocre UGA quarterback. The other day there was a question about Quincy Carter on smartestbulldog (www.smartestbulldog.com). Hopefully at the end of the season they'll be able to ask "Who had a 90% completion percentage on his way to a touchdown 400 yard performance in the 2009 win against #7 Georgia Tech?" Go dawgs.

Very well written article Bill, and I agree 100%. All of the seniors have worked their tails off for UGA and deserve nothing but our gratitude and applause for all that they have done. If I were able to be there I would be on my feet for all of these young men.

I was at the 2002 game when David Jacobs came out for his moment on Senior Day, and of all the "big games" I have attended before and since, I have never heard Sanford Stadium rock like it did when he came out of the tunnel. So far one of my favorite memories of a UGA game.

Facts from a UGA grad, 1971 & 73:

Richt inherited David Green and he recruited DJ Shockley. Schockley sat on the bench and D Green played and won. Point? Richt only inherited Green and HIS MAN sat. hmmmm???

Stafford was recruited by Richt, as was Joe Cox and more recently, Logan Gray. Point? None of these QBs( 3 ) have done a thing for UGA. Not one thing have these three Mark Richt era QBS done. Nothing, beyond a very, very shaky SEC title in 06 with UGA and 2 losses in an over all down SEC year. Florida was in transition, as were Bama and UT and LSU. Yes, the SEC title was nice, until the Sugar Bowl blow out by WVA.

Richt had better get MAJOR QB PRODUCTION in 2010 IMMEDIATELY out of either Gray or Murray or Mettenberg NEXT YEAR ............the clock is now running on Richt, as well as the other coaches.

gooooooooooooooooooooo dogs and goooooooooooooooooo Martinez. Goooooooo anywhere

UGA class of 71 & 73

So Im a 2nd year student at tech and was at the game last year (ga game) and yeah it was great but im personally tired of seeing 45-42 EVERYWHERE! That was last year can we at least wait till after thanksgiving to see what happens this year before we state how great we are? And on the part of Cox he truly deserves a booming ovation, I feel he really has done everything he was capable of this year.

You hit a home run with this one Mr. King. When you look at Joe Cox's career at Georgia how could you not like the young man. Coming out of high school he could have earned a starting job at a lot of Div. 1 schools but chose to come to Georgia even though he knew he would probably end up playing behind Stafford. Coaches should have got him into more games during the previous seasons. The way the Georgia defense played against AK and USC the Dawgs had no business winning those games but Joe Cox got the job done.

I have only attended about 10 Dawg Games, half of those in Jax. I was at the Georgia vs. GT game in 2002 and watched Jacobs run out onto the field (with tears running down my face). That moment ranks up there with my most memorable Georgia Bulldog moments ever. What is going on with him these days? That would be cool to know. Hope he is doing well!

Hope Chance gets well.

Go Dawgs!
