Who's the ultimate UGA fan? (AJC staff)
Is the ultimate Georgia Bulldogs fan the guy who follows the Dogs to every game, home or away? The one who paints his chest and screams encouragement to the team throughout the game? The fan with the craziest game-day getup? The one who puts on the biggest tailgate spread? The old alum who hobbles to the game on arthritic knees? The little boy who doesn’t ever want to take off his Georgia jersey and grows up to follow the Dogs faithfully?
Or is the ultimate fan just a typical Bulldogs backer who takes every opportunity to show his or her support for the school?
However you would describe the ultimate Dogs fan, we want to see them. Whether it’s you or someone you know, send us a photo of the ultimate fan and you could wind up joining me for the last home game of the season.
That’s the theme of our final Junkyard Blawg Fan of the Week contest of the season: the ultimate Bulldogs fan.
Send us a photo of the ultimate fan and, if you like, provide a little information on why this person deserves that honor. Entries must be in by midnight on Monday (Nov. 16). We’ll narrow the entries down and put the finalists to a vote of the readers next week.
Since this is the season finale for the contest and we’re talking about the ultimate fan, the grand prize winner gets three tickets for one of the sky box suites at Sanford Stadium, where they’ll join me for the Nov. 21 Kentucky game. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never watched a game from one of the sky suites, so it’ll definitely be a different game day experience. Plus, of course, the winning picture will be shown on the big video screen at the stadium before the game.
Remember, midnight Monday is the deadline for getting in those pictures of the ultimate Georgia Bulldogs fan!

Bill, I sent you the photo your daughter took of my Dad at this year’s Homecoming game. Although we will not be able to attend the Kentucky game due to a previous commitment (DARN NIGHT GAMES!), I would like to tell you why I think my Super Dawg Dad at least deserves honorable mention. A UGA 1955 grad, my Dad has had season tickets since he graduated. In 54 years, I would say that he has missed attending less than 20 games altogether, and that’s counting Home Games, Away Games, and Bowl games. In our section of Sanford Stadium, our regular gang we have sat with forever all know him as “Doc.” He always attends the Alumni Cheerleading Reunions at Homecoming. Until five years ago, when his back began gving him problems, he would join the UGA Cheerleaders at the Goal Line when the Dawgs would come out of the Locker Room, and he would carry the Big G flag the length of the field.
My Dad has inspired all three of his sons to attend and graduate from UGA. My nephew is also a UGA fan, thanks to his Grandpa’s love for all things UGA, and the same goes for my middle son, who currently attends our Great University. A finer Dawg you will never meet!

Well, well, well, AJC. Where is the article about UT having three players charged with armed robbery? The great Lane Kiffin is proving to be exactly what I said. He is sacrificing a great program to win at all cost. No, UT is not alone. I’d rather lose with good kids than win with thugs. Kiffin is just focused on numbers, attention, and accolades and not on character. Three armed robbers and a child rapist. Those four scholarships should have gone to good kids that may be smaller and slower, but are more deserving because of the people that they are. They can be said for a great deal of schools including UGA. I have predicted that Kiffin will have UT on probation within three years. His antics are inappropriate and not needed for the fine UT program.

SuperDawg – I saw him save a Dawg fan from 10 Boston College Eagles in Nashville, I saw him save a Dawg fan from abunch of those Island people in New Orleans, I saw him save a Dawg fan from 100 yellow jackets in Atlanta, but most of all I remember him pick Lindsey Scott up in Jacksonville and carry him all the way to paydirt(Run Lindsey Run!!)

My daughter Baylie is not the biggest Dawg fan. She is a shade under five feet. But she has been a Dawg fan since she was born thirteen years ago. She went home from the hospital with Bulldawg booties on her feet. Since she is disabled, she has only attended a few games. Her first game in Athens, she proudly proclaimed that she would attend UGA. As usual, we have already made plans to watch the game Saturday night after our tail gate party before the game. If you listen hard enough, you might be able to hear us yelling GO DAWGS!! from Augusta.
