1991–Operation Turnaround–gave us our only home victory against AU between 1981 and 2003. I started going to Georgia games in 1983, and my brother got married that day in 1991, so I had to wait 20 years to see a home victory vs Auburn.

Living in Columbus, Ga. this is THE GAME every year. Being just across the river from the Plains makes it hard to stomach when we drop to the WAW EAGLES, but sweeter than sweet when we ruin their party. Throw out the records on this one, the home team is usually at a disadvantage, and there seems to always be an unknown hero in this one so…..buckle your chinstraps and hang on Saturday night………here we go again. GO YOU HAIRY DAWGS!!!!!!!!

Stay Classy dog fans: Before you lecture Georgia and its fans I would remind you that you could not even field a team without Georgia players!Year after year. For that matter neither could Clemson or South Carolina.

2002 was by far the most important win I can remember. I remember I had to work that night, so for my “15 minute break” I went outside sat in the car and listened to Munson on the radio make that call “OH GOD A TOUCHDOWN!”. Just hearing that call still gives me goosebumps. I would love to be able to watch that game sometime, as I was never able to do.

My personal favorites.

1992 Georgia stoning them on the goal line for the win
1996, Bobo Throwing that thing a mile to Corey Allen to send it to OT
2002, Defense forcing Auburn to 6 straight 3 and outs to keep us in it and then the miracle in the end zone to clinch the East.
2007, Knowshon breaking open a close game with one nasty cutback

I can at least say this, Auburn fans, the ones that i have been associated with over the past 30 years or so, have been one of the more classier groups of fans (people)that i’ve ever been around,win or loose.
