… a UGA running back go over 100 yards in a game. Richard Samuel is the only back who’s done it this season, and that was once against Arkansas when he had 104 yards, 80 of which came on one play. Mark Richt’s Georgia teams have a won-loss record of 38-3 in games where they have a 100-yard rusher.

Can Joe Cox make it through a game without a pick? (Associated Press)
… Joe Cox making it all the way through a game without throwing an interception. So far, this season, the closest he’s come to that was the LSU game, where Cox didn’t have an interception until a desperation pass on Georgia’s last play.
… Prince Miller taking a punt return all the way for a score. For much of the season, the Dogs weren’t even trying to return punts. Miller came close a couple of times against Vanderbilt. Remember that 92-yarder last season against Bama? It’d be nice to see the senior do it again.
… Willie Martinez changing up his defense to fit the offense an opponent is running. It would probably take the other guys most of the game to recover from the shock.
… The Georgia defense recording a shutout against somebody other than Tennessee Tech. I frankly am not sure that’s even possible this year, but a guy can dream.
… This actually is something I’d like to hear: Scott Howard calling a major Georgia touchdown without resorting to just screaming like a fan. I’m not really asking for anything Munsonesque. Just something memorable. So far for his play-by-play career at UGA, it’s “one and done, baby.”
… The stands at Sanford Stadium packed to capacity by the kickoff. Is it really that difficult to get to the game on time?
… A major SEC game without an officiating controversy. And, yes, it’d be even better if that game was this week in Jacksonville. Anyone heard yet where Penn Wagers is going to be on Saturday?
Speaking of officiating, David Hale of Bulldogs Blog thinks Georgia will benefit from the recent spate of bad calls and coaches being reprimanded for criticizing the conference’s officials (and the perception, real or not, that certain teams haven’t gotten their fair share of flags). At this point, he writes, “the officiating blunders are so obvious that the league simply can’t afford another one. That can only benefit Georgia.” From your keyboard to Mike Slive’s ears, Dave.
… Urban Meyer crying again. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be after the Georgia game. Oh, so you’ve noticed: I really really don’t like him.
... The Dogs upsetting a favored opponent. I have two particular opponents in mind. A win against either one this season would be sweet enough to make up for the debacle in Knoxville.

I think Corrine Brown perfectly represents Florida Alumni and the fanbase. The US economy is falling down all around us and a Congresswoman takes time on the floor of Congress to ‘Gradulate’ the ‘Gator’ and ‘Corch Meyer.’ The woman hardly speaks English and yet holds a Masters Degree from UF in Communications. That sounds about right…maybe she was ‘a afelete.’

Your basing your “disdain” for Meyer off nothing that is based on FACTUAL information just stuff you’ve read on the internet. Thats pathetic. Let’s see some actual proof that shows Urban lies to recruits? You won’t find any.
The only thing you mentioned was something that was quoted by Jevan Snead that he himself said wasn’t true.
Bill,
Have you ever met Urban Meyer? just wondering because you are saying he “seems” like a self-important humorless jerk. Sure sounds like you are trying to taionalize your petty jealousy of everything he’s accomplished.
I’m sure you feel my assumptions I’ve made here about you are off-base and they probably are because I’ve never met you. You write from your perspective as a UGA fan and I enjoy reading that perspective. However I call you to task for bashing Meyer when all he is doing is coaching his team and dealing with media and the likes outside his program in the way in which he feels will be the most successful for his team winning. It’s lame you stretch so far to try and make him look bad when he’s done nothing but win and do it within the rules. He’s also shown the utmost respect for Mark Richt and hasn’t been shy about his admiration for how Richt does things.

So Bill E Goat, if nothing is true on the internet and I read your comments on the internet; they must not be true either.
Excellent point.

Al Gore didn’t invent the internet to be a bastion of misinformation, just a place where college football fans can use rumor and innuendo to disparage rival coaches and players without any facts in doing so.

I want to see the dawgs win out. Florida falling to UGA and USC putting the dawgs in the SEC championship. Georgia beating Bama, avenging last year’s loss and going to beat a top five team in the Sugar Bowl.
I would settle for beating Florida.
Yeah 100 plus rushing performance would be nice.

who thinks after the Dawgs upset the Gators this weekend that Urban Meyer is going to grab Tebow on both sides of the helmut and stick his tongue down Tebows throat and tell him everything will be okay and that he still loves him? i’m still not sure he didn’t do that a couple of weeks ago.. you gators fans have to admit that was a little scary looking…
something i would like to see before this year ends,,,, our DB’s covering somebody, not just space..but boy, if someone were to come in that little space we’re covering, we will dang sure make a play…..
Georgia is next

Willie Martinez better be ready to hold the Gator offense in check and under 20 points because Cox and co. are not scoring over 20 points, believe it.

I would like to see Cox complete 20 passes in a row to lead the dawgs to a win. Also, I would like to see Martinez resign ASAP.

I would like to see someone kick Urban Meyer right in the jimmies. Now that would be a “bad deal.”

What’s with the hate between a great relationship between a coach and a player, Meyer and Tebow? It looks to be working. The difference between Coach Meyer and Richt is that Meyer’s players can look up to him, respect him, and play hard for him while Richt is good for some bail money and is willing to play his players even if they get arrested 4 days before a big game. What a role model.

NCAA,
You prick! How does driving with a suspended license compare with a player owning and shooting an AK-47? Huh, punk? And that player remained on the team. I repeat, a player caught and found guilty of a felony…remained on the Florida team.
That’s what I thought. Not even a close comparison and you know as well as I do that the Gators get away with murder(almost literally) in Gainesville! STFU!

Bitter, party of 1, your table is ready.
Love Meyer or Spurrier or hate them, you can’t deny they would take UGA to a championship level.
Sure Richt went to a few SECCG but not with players he recruited.
