There’s still time to win free UGA tickets!

Meet Chop.

He’s the 4-year-old pug-wirehair mix at left showing off his UGA spirit. His full name is Chop Stick. Not Chopstick. Someone at the vet’s office asked my brother Tim, Chop’s parental figure, whether he should be put down on their records as “Chopstick King.” No, Tim said. “His last name is Stick.”

Unfortunately, Chop isn’t eligible to enter our third Junkyard Blawg Fan of the Week contest because he’s family. But if you’ve got a pet you like to deck out in red and black, there’s still a week left for you to win two free tickets to the next Bulldogs home game in Athens.

In order to make it into the final round of finalists, your pictures need to follow our theme: Showing your UGA spirit through your pets.

Send us a photo of your pet by midnight on Oct. 27. Any kind of pet will do, though of course this is Bulldog Country, as they used to say. We’ll narrow the entries down to four finalists and put it to a vote of the readers.

The winner gets two tickets to the Tennessee Tech game and their picture up on the big video screen in Sanford Stadium before the game.

A grand prize winner later in the season will get to attend the final home game with me in one of the sky suites.

So share your Bulldog spirit and win one for the Chopper!

To submit your photos, go here. Remember, the deadline for photos in this contest is midnight on Oct. 27.

Contestants must submit via e-mail a photograph that fits the theme of the week.

Ready to read the next article about Kiffin and Tennessee. We are getting great publicity and ink in Atlanta!!!!

Funny – only stories I read about UGA are about firing coaches!!! Maybe not getting even close to the RED ZONE against TENNESSEE is the source – or is it because UGA is what the facts are – a troubled football program – that has lost 3 of the last 4 games by BLOW OUT against TENNESSEE. Can’t wait to read the UGA blogs after the Florida game.

Looks like UGA is not better now than in the Goff and Donnan days – 3rd in teh SEC EAST (natural position) – fending off South Carolina. OOOPS – Looks like UGA just might have been passed by South Carolina!!!

How bout’ that Gator D – 6 Games = 4 Touchdowns Allowed, 52 Points Surrendered. #1 in College Football in both average points allowed(8.7) and total yards allowed per game(228.3). #2 in College Football in Pass Efficiency Defense per game(86.1).

UGA defense:
Average Points Allowed per game – 27.7
Total Yards Allowed per game – 365.6

“Can’t wait to read the UGA blogs after the Florida game. ”

Yeah, I’ll bet you can’t, since you have nothing better to do in your pathetic life.

Florida has only played one team with an alright offense, and that’s Arkansas, a game you know as well as anyone Florida should’ve lost. I’m not going to say anything about the Dawg D, because everyone knows our defense is on a down year. It’s old news. Florida needs to be ready for MSU, because Florida is not playing like the #1 team in the country right now. The Gaytors will not go undefeated. Book it.
