Sorry BIGBOY i wasn’t on over the weekend but yes… that is exactly what not just me but a whole lot of folks both intelligent and not are saying. Who could honestly argue with our talent level at the moment? Martinez has better players if you believe ranking. Now I know recruiting ranking are completely subjective right? Don’t mean a thing… then why do they certainly seem to apply to UF, Bama, LSU and USC? They recruit in the top 5, and they live in the top 5, right where we used to. Look at the defense in quarters since BVG left. Each quarter of a year got systematically worse, the decline was gradual no doubt making it harder to see until the entire D got this bad, but one could not possibly argue that with 9 consecutive top 10 finishes in every major recruiting service offered that we’ve whiffed on the entire process. Missed on a player or two, sure. But whiffed so badly that The University of Georgia is 115th in several defensive categories with an overall of 96th??? Gimme a break.

Want one last proof of point, compare the 2007 Falcons defense to the 2008 version. One real change, the addition of a dang good if not great defensive coordinator.

Georgia has been in the top 10 in recruiting inthe last 3 or 4 years ,so lackof talent i dont think is the case .Its coaching on both sides of the ball ,JUST SO DANM PREDICTABLE ITS TIME FOR SOME COACHING CHANGES

We needs to go unload a whooping can on them Commies today and let the young freshman get expereince to start winning. Also I am hoping for Peter Carol to use Trojans for pounding the Dames in the South bEnd. Then Wise is gone and ND will go steal Urban Crybaby from FLA to get them another Zooker of a coach. But not before the Dawgs unleases a bunches of our killer freshmens to ruin FLAs season in 2 week in Jax.

Hal as a former player you are telling me that BVG’s coaching made Pollack.Davis,Blue.Thurman etc and WM has had the same quality players without coaching them up?

Richt is a great Christian coach. He will do the Christian thing to cast out the players that aint using there talents. Once we get the good players then Richt will bring BCS titles home to Athens where its belongs. In the meantimes expects Richt to get it done this season with a mashing of Vandy following by a pounding of non-impressing FLA and Teabows.

Richt has taken us to our only SEC champs in near 30 years. We have stinky players right nows. To win SEC and BCS we need Richt.

So the coaches JUST got blindsided this year with the fact that THEY have recruited the wrong players for the scheme that thay’e like to run, RIGHT???????? Puuulllleeeezzzzeeee! Maybe we should adapt our schemes to the personnel that we have.

nonononononononononononono…… Richt does not need to be fired. Programs go thru up and downs all the time. Stoops has done at at OU, Beamer has at VT, Dooley had several swings, Bear Bryant went 6-5 in the mid 70’s at Bama.

If it wasn’t for Mark you would have the expectations you do right now year after year. He does have to make the changes otherwise if he continues to back these guys it will be his butt. But he’s bought the right to handle it first for god’s sake. Keep in mind, this is the first time he’s been at this stage, he has to learn how to handle the lack of success now.

When Francur don’t hit you trades him. When Andruw Jones strikes out to much you let him go. We got players not getting it done. Football now has returned to days of Bear Bryant. If a player can’t play at SEC level then you cut him from team to free scolly and get in a new player. Saban is doing that to restock Bama in cases where recruits stink it up. UGA needs to get with program or be left behinds.
