He's been a punt catcher and also on the kickoff coverage team. How stupid is that? Several things about this staff make me shake my head: continually trying to get Samuel outside on a toss, when he is so obviously not that type of runner, bringing Gray in for one play in the Carolina game, I think it was, to handoff, then back out all in the middle of a series. Then a game or so later, same play but this time he kept it...again one play, then out. Everyone in the stadium knew he was going to run it. Finally Carlton Thomas not getting in the game for two consecutive weeks, only to finally show up last week, and tada, he leads the team in rushing. The offensive staff seems to have too many weapons, they can't remember they have them, or they just don't know how to use them.

The biggest problem we have this year is our inability to run the ball. It's not the play of the quarterback. Cox has not been outstanding or very good but, it's hard to pass when you can't run the ball. The OL doesn't look cohesive and that group has to be working together as much as any group. They need to sense what their peers are doing and not think. We were counting on Sturdavent and his injury has hurt us. The OL play is due to coaching and the loss of a key player. We just don't have a SEC caliber running back.

The talent is very good at the tackles and is improving at DE. The corners are weak and safety play, Evans is not good. They are addressing that position and the corners will be much better next year because of experience. From a production standpoint, Curran is as good as we've ever had. However, I don't think that number of tackles is the best indicator of how effective the linebacker play is. It's how far off the line of scrimage the tackle was made. The other linebackers don't stand out.

The assistant coaches have a real dilema: younger players gaining experience for next year or saving your job so you can be here next year. Richt has a tough decision to make on that cause he will be here. You can't let him go after 2 consecutive underperforming years given his good history.

Bill great article. NOT!! LOL, just kiddin, but sirsously, I think people are stressing too much over Richt just because he is having a down season. Give tha dude a brake, he lost his two top players to the NFL, and Cox was a backup, he still has a decent arm and quality receivers just other teams are gettin it done and the dawgs arent. Maybe next season, just wait it out.

The only way UGA wil make the changes needed would be for UGA to go 4-8. We are only playing for the Poulan bowl now, so what does it matter.

Wow, just read the article about the CB getting a tkt...unbelievable, what kind of chicken shot school do you guys have...now, in the old days you didn't need an license to ride a motor scooter (not a motorcycle, but a scooter), unless your license was suspended (which his was), but still come on these were campus police...guess the budget is tight and this is one of their way to get ca$h...not saying that he didn't do wrong, but wouldn't a warning and a call to the coach be sufficient...Florida has a lawyer that handles all of their players legal issues, don't know how he gets paid, but it's the same guy whose name is in the papers every-time...course it's tough to drive anywhere in Ga w/out passing thru on of the famous speed-traps that you guys have up there..
