Our panel of judges has selected the four finalists in the second week of the Junkyard Blawg Fan of the Week contest, with the theme “Bulldogs colors” (game day attire). They run the gamut from superhero costume to sundresses, with the obligatory face paint and fright wigs, too.
Now it’s up to you. Take a look at these photos, pick your favorite and then vote in the poll. The winner, to be announced Wednesday, will receive two tickets to the LSU game on Saturday in Athens.

why are you tree huggers making such a big deal about garbage after the games when it’s been like this EVERY TIME there is a night game? It’s only because there have been a ton of night games this year compared to any other year (thanks ESPN!) which has caused the Al Gore kool-aid drinkers to come out of the wood work. I am so old. We used to wear coats and ties to the games. One thing hasn’t changed, though, judging from those photos. There is nothing quite as pretty as a Georgia girl in a sun dress on game day.

You know, the one that makes every UGA grad cringe when they show him…
-Burdell his name is Mike Wood, and the reason he paints his head is his dad used to be the driver of the player bus that had the coaches back in the 70s & 80s. His dad shaved his head and had the traditional bulldog head shot painted on his head to help fire up the team for the 80 national championship game vs ND and continued to do so until he passed away. Mike decided to carry on the tradition and that’s why he doses it. If you see him at one of the games you should meet him, you’ll find he’s a very nice guy who’s the salt of the earth and loves the Dawgs with more passion than most I’ve ever met.

One of them’s not even wearing red, and my guess is that most of them didn’t even enter the stadium on whatever game day that picture was taken. It is the classiest attire of the group and those who discourage choice 4 due to the popularity of the attire are actually affirming that as the proper choice. To be fair, they should have published a picture of six average male Georgia fans in polo shirts, khaki shorts, and Croakies, like 99% of the rest of the guys in the stadium. In fact, they probably should have posted only pictures of people wearing standard-issue gameday attire.
That would provide some balance with the picture of six average Georgia girls in sun dresses (including a girl without any team colors whatsoever) — the picture that’s winning this contest in a landslide.

TO PEABODY: As one of the girls in #4, (the red dress on the far right)- I have to say you obviously know nothing about Georgia girls! As a matter of fact- 1) we DID go to the game, 2) black is also a Georgia color last time I checked, 3) I’m sure most of us could name the starting line-up for the Dawgs, and 4) explain the difference between the strong side and the weak side. Someone so obviously bitter and quick to judge should probably be wearing black and gold and attending games in Atlanta. Don’t hate on Georgia girls- we are the best in the world. Go Dawgs!
