A.J. Green (Georgiadogs.com)
We’ll head into the weekend with this quote from Razorback Central in which Arkansas cornerback Ramon Broadway appears not to be that impressed by Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green.
“He definitely does a lot of things that a lot of veteran guys do,” Broadway said. “But … he hasn’t done nothing else that I haven’t seen. I’ve been playing for the last season, so A.J., he’s going to be a good guy. But they’ve got to do a little bit more [than] the last two weeks to beat us.”
It’ll be interesting to watch that match-up Saturday night.
Smart money’s on A.J.

Low scoring field position game.
Keys to this game:
1. The weather should slow down both passing games.
2. If either team passes more than 35 times in this game, the other team wins.
3. Whichever team rushes for the most yards wins the game.
4. The weather: Who is going to handle the rain tomorrow night in Fayetteville?
5. Special teams: If Arkansas struggles in the kicking game, big advantage to Georgia in a low field position game.
6. Turnovers are huge in a low scoring field position game.
Arkansas 14 (by a tusk), Georgia 13

Guys, you know the guy from Ark is right. We haven’t shown anything this year. We have had two weeks of doing virtually nothing on offense, except for a couple of big plays. Our defense played more in the first half last week than most teams play in a full game, and our special teams still are making big mistakes.
I’m as big a fan as there is, but it is time for the team to raise up a little bit. Maybe a little more creativity, like the Smith play, and a lot more grind it out on offense. What did look good, Red Zone Defense. That is good. Think how good it would be if they only had to do that 3 times instead of 9

Still rooting for injuries. Can’t believe it. Still look the other way when UGA players get arrested. Still can’t believe it. I love UGA players to death. Thank you Greg. The Arkansas fan base has to be among the most delusional in the country. They seriously think that their team is going to win the Super Bowl, Petrino is the next coming of Christ, and Mallet is having his induction into the Hall of Fame. The fact of the matter is Arkansas is a middle of the road (at best) team in the SEC West, Petrino was 2-6 vs SEC opponents last season, and Mallet has a 47% career completion percentage after playing 11 career games.

speaking of delusional, Dawg4Life, UGA fans have some of the most unrealistic expectations of any fan base in the country. I have lived in the Atlanta area for the past 11 years and every year Dawg fans are howling about national championships and quite frankly, most years you are lucky to beat Georgia Tech. Now that being said, I quite frankly do expect Arkansas to win tomorrow and here is why. They have most of the team back from last year which finished very strong, including a win over LSU (which beat Tech, which beat a much stronger UGA team last year than the team UGA has this year) and the game is being played in Fayetteville. Now true, Arkansas has only played Missouri State, but UGA has been beaten by Oklahoma State (who has since been beaten by Rice or Houston or some other WAC team) and barely beat South Carolina at home, who had only scored 7 points the week before against NC State. Arkansas’ defense is suspect, but South Carolina showed so is Georgia’s. It took special teams plays for UGA to beat SC. With the game on the road and with the Arkansas crowd jacked up for Petrino over all of the Georgia nastiness, the home team will prevail.

HogFanlnGA “most years you are lucky to beat Georgia Tech”, what games have you watched, yea tech beat UGA last year, they were the better team no doubt about it, but the previous 7 years, the last two in a row, UGA was more than lucky to get past tech. At the end of 07, nobody in the nation wanted any part of UGA, we were by far the best team in the nation. I do agree that the game againt Arkansas will be a tough game, but UGA will prevail due to talent alone. Joe Cox will have a great game and the oline finally gells.
To hell with tech

Hogfanin, I have many friends who are Dawg fans. A couple of hundred are fraternity brothers who graduated UGA. None of us pick UGA to finish number one every year. Less than 1/4 did it last year. Most said wait and see. We like to win the SEC. If a chance to play for the MNC comes with it, even better. But I don’t judge the depth of my support for my coach, my team or my University by winning an MNC every year. If I did it would take everything about the Bulldawgs that I love and replace it with jealousy, irrational hatred and basic stupidity. No thanks, I bleed Red and Black whatever the score, whatever the win or loss column says at the end of the game. I guess you would not be able to understand that with all the SEC championships the Hogs have won since joining our top notch conference. Wins to you after tomorrow.

Georgia will win this game if they just play to their potential – unfortunately, that’s been a lot easier said than done for this team lately. Think about it, we have not played a good game on both sides of the ball since the Sugar Bowl against Hawaii. Michigan State last year was probably the closest we’ve come to playing a complete game since then, but even in that one our offense struggled in the first half.
If we do what we’ve done against Oklahoma State and South Carolina – and what we did virtually all of last year- we can easily lose to Arkansas. We can’t make stupid penalties and we can’t be minus 2 or 3 in the turnover battle again. Unfortunately we’ve developed such a habit for shooting ourselves in the foot multiple times a game that you almost expect it now.
Come on, Dawgs, can you just give us a crisp, relatively mistake-free game for once? That’s all it’s going to take tomorrow, because Arkansas can’t match this team athlete-for-athlete.

Alabama LSU South Carolina and Florida. At least two pick Arkansas by over two touchdowns. As a UGA grad I can’t be objective but I hope they are wrong. They major on the thought that Petrino has been scheming Georgia since Chirstmas and we’ve been thinking about Arkansas since Sunday. I think that’s lame but there it is. I’d like to think Caleb will soon remind us why we were so ecstatic that he chose Georgia over Auburn. I’d also like to think that the return of Justin Houston will more than compensate for the awful loss of Rod Battle. Go Dawgs

What you guys need to put into perspective is the fact these yellow wig flamers are middle school to high school age kids. The oldest amongst them is the chick Ramble On who is 17yo.
Arkansas has been dreaming and planning for this for months. First SEC game of the season, it’s at their house, and against an enemy they haven’t beaten since Ramble On was a year old. They will be fired up and on their game. I don’t have a good feeling about the game and I think if we win it will be by luck again.

Dawgs really haven’t done anything to amount to much. Lost to a way overrated Okie State. Are y’all kidding yourselves? I mean South Carolina ! Two sorry teams and a 1 – 1 record and had to barely hang on for a win because your defensive coordinator aint got a clue. I bet the offense will go vanilla against Arky because UGA is never consistent from one game to the next except either in winning or losing ugly.

Let Saint Simons talk smack now, he wont get another chance for 8-9 years. Thats about right, the nerds pull a decent game out of there almost no talent roster about once every decade lately, so talk more smack while you can. Go dawgs.
