While all the teams you mentioned did in fact have the better part of a month to prepare for their opposition, the losing participants also had the same amount of preparation time. It's quite a novel concept: the season ends, bowls are selected, teams prepare for the next three weeks to a month for a single opponent. Do you really think Tech wasn't given adequate time to prepare for LSU? Do you really think OU wasn't given adequate time to prepare for UF? Hell, do you think Bama wasn't given adequate time to prepare for the Utes? I didn't think so. As for Fuzzy, I love how you consider a three point victory a "beat-down", with complete disregard for anything that has happened the rest of this decade. Tech won, Dawgs lost. Great game to watch, but definitely no beat down. A beat down is what UF did to the Dawgs in Jax, NOT what took place in Athens against the Bees last year.
