Who’s most dangerous player Dogs will face?

Georgia’s defense, particularly the more inexperienced members of its secondary, will face a stiff challenge in some of the more heralded offensive stars they’ll come up against this season.

Besides Tim Tebow, who will be the Dogs defense's biggest challenge?

There’s Florida’s Tim Tebow, of course.

But first the Dogs must try to contain Oklahoma State’s high-scoring tandem of quarterback Zac Robinson and receiver Dez Bryant. Also early in the season, a lot of folks are picking the Arkansas game as a potential loss for the Dogs thanks to their quarterback transfer from Michigan, Ryan Mallett. Then there’s LSU’s powerful offense, led by rising QB Jordan Jefferson. And the Dogs are well aware of the big-play potential of Georgia Tech’s triple-option attack with Jonathan Dwyer.

We’ll say it’s a given that Tebow, who’s trying for his second Heisman, is the biggest threat the Dogs defense faces. But besides him, which opposing offensive player do you think will be the most dangerous that Willie Martinez’s unit must handle? Feel free to comment, vote in the poll or both.

The most dangerous player is the one you play next.

Hey Dogtards,

Your stupidity has no bounds.

1. UGA has won 2 conference titles in the last 7 years. Tech won a conference title in 1990( almost 2 years ago!) and kind of sorta won one in 1998. UGA has without question been the more relevant program in this decade so get your head out of your ass.

2. Bowl committees are the ones that select who UGA plays. At least UGA wins their bowl and doesn’t choke on a big fat one like Tech had done against LSU and that powerhouse FRESNO STATE! UGA’s last National Title was in 1980, but it was UNDISPUTED. Tech’s on the other hand was a CO-National Title with Colorado and a Tie with a VERY mediocre North Carolina team.

3. UGA- 3 BCS Bowl games in the last 7 years. Tech-Zero. Tech’s the one that is mediocre here.

4. It doesn’t matter if Tech fans want to include the games from 1943 and 1944, UGA STILL owns the all-time series.

5. The Chan Gailey losses count moron, he was Tech’s head coach.

6. If you mean to imply that Florida has beaten us regularly, then you are correct. But UGA has owned LSU but large margins that last 3 meetings between the two teams.

The cowgirls are going down and that’s a given. The weak 12 has had their arses handed to them numerous times by the SEC – check it out.
Here’s a question for everyone out there regarding the GayTurds – have the reptiles ever had an UNDEFEATED season??? Well, UGA sure has. When will the crocs have an undefeated season? This decade? Nope. The next? Nope.

Dantard –

“Your stupidity has no bounds.”

Classy and clever.

“1. UGA has won 2 conference titles in the last 7 years.”

Yeah and you didn’t win one the 19 years before then. Awesome.

“UGA has without question been the more relevant program in this decade so get your head out of your ass.”

Never said you guys weren’t better for the past decade. My point was that both programs were relatively mediocre recently. Well, uga has pretty much always been mediocre except for a 3-5 year stretch in the very early 80s, a blip on the radar in the 90s, and then the recent Richt stretch (which is impressive, but Herschel aside the only thing you guys have really done of note).

“Bowl committees are the ones that select who UGA plays. ”

Did the bowl committee make you lose that game against WV?

“UGA’s last National Title was in 1980, but it was UNDISPUTED. Tech’s on the other hand was a CO-National Title with Colorado and a Tie with a VERY mediocre North Carolina team.”

A 2-loss Colorado team who escaped with a win on a fifth down play. Who cares if it was undisputed? (Which, by the way, it technically wasn’t – a little over half the polls that year voted uga #1. FSU and Nebraska were each voted #1 by one poll, Oklahoma by 2 polls, and Pitt by 5. For example of a real undisputed National Champion see Nebraska in 1995). We still have a Crystal trophy in our trophy case from 1990 – 10 years more relevant than yours.

Using your logic, nobody can claim a national title in 1990 because it was shared. The same would go for 2003, 1997, and 1991 – other years where a title was shared. It happened. Get over it.

“The Chan Gailey losses count moron, he was Tech’s head coach.”

I’m not saying they don’t, but Richt is 1-1 against well-coached Tech teams.

“If you mean to imply that Florida has beaten us regularly, then you are correct. But UGA has owned LSU but large margins that last 3 meetings between the two teams.”

Alabama genius. No chance you guys ever beat them with Saban.

I think Dez Bryant will be the most dangerous player (other than Tebow) that UGA will play against this season. According to the media (who admittedly aren’t very smart) Bryant is the best WR in the nation. Having seen AJ Green on more than one occasion, I would argue that AJ is as good as Bryant, if not better. But I’m obviosly biased ( not that the media is impartial).

what they forgot to mention is the ground game that OSTATE has and will use anyway they want too….K.Hunter, Tosten, and Johnson can all run it and we can run it all day long so if you want to stop the pass you better be ready for the run…..we have had one of the most balanced offenses in the COUNTRY the last two years and last time we came to Georgia our offense wasnt as set as it is now….and if you want to bring up the Oregon games lets talk about the cheap hits they gave Dez and Z. Rob and go from there….all I know is that this will be a good game and I am looking forward to it
