My former in-law, Eddie “The Meat Cleaver” Weaver. Dude could probably still bench press the whole gym. He is also a well-mannered, successful, scholar. It’s funny that a guy like that spends a great deal of time reading books and continuing to learn.

Again, most of those guys could not play with these animals today. There have been 10 to 15 linebackers at UGA since 77 that are better than
Ben Zambiasi. Same with Thurston. Where is Simmons and Thurmond. Where is Ben Smith at corner. If you want to go by the era they played, fine but you really cant compare Bill Stanfill to Marcus Stroud. Stroud is one of the Super Tackles in the NFL and was bigger, quicker and more physical that Stanfill.

There is a huge gap between defenses before Richt and after his arrival. Richt must see the writing on the wall and start making the necessary coaching adjustments. How is it that UGA/ Richt year in, and year out, recruit the nations top players but can not develop them to their full potential?? Why does Richt hold back most freshmen from playing time?
Richt lost a great coach and motivator when Vangorder left his fold. He needs to search for the same contrast he had between himself and Vangorder by hiring a true motivator to balance his mild mannered disposition. The Dawgs lack passion and desire! A new Defensive Coordinator is needed to fire these kids up! I can not understand why everyone else can see this except for Richt. It kind of reminds me of the fake punt in the West Virginia game, everyone knew it was coming except for our coaching staff!!
