ESPN even made outrageous claims that the Big 12 had surpassed the SEC as the new power conference. Texas Tech then proceeded to get their Red Raider asses handed to them by Ole Miss 47-34, a 9-4 SEC team. Oklahoma got beat by Florida 24-14, and Texas barely got past Ohio State who gets owned by every SEC team they ever play. LSU, who at 8-5 and going through a down year, still had enough to completely dismantle Ga. Tech 38-3. And UGA took care of business against Michigan State. Now are the Oklahoma's, Texas' and USC's good football teams? Yes. But would they be considered National Powers winning 11-12 games a year if they played in the SEC? I don't think so. Can teams from other conferences beat teams in the SEC? Of course. But are the SEC's top 4 teams year in and year out better than most conference's top 4? As of now, Absolutely! And I get that you hate UGA, but come on man put that to the side and look at the facts. UGA is only a year removed from finishing 2# in the nation, have won SEC Titles in 2002 and 2005, and have won 10 games or more 6 out of the last 8 years in the nations toughest conference. But, you can't determined by what you saw in the spring game. Majority of our starting o-lines were sidelined or recovering from surgeries. Most of the o-lines were walkons and backups. You'll see a much better o-line when they're all back healthy. O-line will be the strength of our O. Joe Cox will have time to survey the field. RBs will have holes to run thru.
