Michigan fans keep referring to the 22-5 record against the SEC. True “BUT” 12 of those wins where back in the 30″s and 40″s against Vanderbilt which is like Alabame playing Northwestern every year.A more realistic number is Ohio State”s 1-11 recent record against southern teams.

This opening game for Michigan in 2010 will be the dedication of the renovated Michigan Stadium, so they want a big name team. Michigan Stadium seating 107,501 now, and having over 111,000 in attendance in the past. This game should go over 112,000, making it the largest crowd to ever see a college football game. Michigan gives out about 25,000 tickets to the away team (if they want them) and a HUGE check. Toss in HUGE TV exposure and some team is going to jump, i do hope it’s Ga.

Why can’t we just stick to the topic at hand. I know that is wishful thinking. Hey guys, I read the GT Blogs just to see updates with Tech’s program and we have some tools over there posting some luducris stuff as well. It does not matter, your going to have idiots from both sides that are really clueless about football, but just want to run their mouths. It’s embarrassing for both sides I’m sure.

Personally, I’d love to see a separate blog just for all fans of Colleges who don’t have to crap it it up and talk serious football. Of course that would mean someone at the AJC to look at each post to not allow the stupidity.

As for the UGA-MI matchup I would love to see it. I love the harder non-conference schedule. I like seeing Tech being competitve again and they will be from here on out. I’d rather beat a good Tech team that a poor one and I’m sure they feel the same way about us. I love the fact the we have leveled the playing field with UF.
