Don't forget about WR Marlon Brown he is a very talented player and was one of the top WR's in high school football. Tavarres King (soph.) is also talented. Michael Moore has also had some good games from UGA. Kris Durham who will be out this year with an injury will return in the 2010- 2011 season. He is a very good WR.

...It depends on how the other CB's perform in camp.Smith I assume is a wide corner..the speed guy..the other side that was manned by Allen requires a physical, run support type of player. It looks like Boykin and Cummings and Love are slated to be the possibles over there. On the wide side we have Miller,Cuff and Smith...it's assumed that Smith will take that slot but we will see(Miller is a sr and Cuff has played since his frs year.the nickel slot is open as well.So I think he will get a lot of PT at nickel and WC and if they returning kids step their game up he will get some action in the return game and a few snaps at WR.Now if the other kids struggle I seriously doubt he will see much time on Offense. He was our top defensive recruit at a position of concern so I think the staff will be more determined to get him ready for the secondary than anything else.

Mr. King,
I'm not normally in favor of censorship but these blogs make a
strong case for it. Some of the things written here have zero relevance
to the topic being discussed. The Georgia Tech "fans" in particular
make it very clear that they are unaccustomed to winning, as they do
not know how to handle it on the rare occasions that Tech beats
Georgia. I hope that you will institute some controls over what
appears in these blogs. It's getting to where it's not even worth the
time to sort through the trash to get to the comments of real Georgia
fans who would like to participate. Can something be done, please ?
Thanks.

Hey gt fans, remember the feeling you had after the 2001 beat-down at robby clodd stadium? It's coming again and I'll be there. 7 of 8 means UGA owns the state. 1 of 8, well that's just pathetic. So enjoy the fluke of last year because odds are we won't have 24 injured players this year. That means no 400+ yds rushing. The real joke is rushing for 400+ yds and only winning by a fg. Look at it like this though...you can still win the acc this year before PJ bolts for Notre Dame, and that will happen. Now, go educate some more terrorists - losers.

I think Branden is going to be the next special player at Georgia. I woudl say create a wildkat package for him with a few plays in it maybe around the goal line, but make sure he is learning the corner back position because thats where he is going to make his money on Sundays. I also want Georgia to get these other receivers going. Troup, Moore, Wooten, Marlon,A.J, Aaron White(tight end)and Orson Charles involved. We have some good prospects to catch the ball so Branden dosent have to be pushed ito that right now. I would def say let this guy return kick offs and punts, he is amazing returning the ball and field position is important.

BuLLDawg, stop dogging BK. I only skimmed your post after you mentioned Chris Durham. He's out all next season.

Thanks FLDawg, I was thinking pretty much the same thing. It's not like CB and WR are very different. Cover this guy; try to run past that guy... Returning kicks shouldn't be an issue. Those of you that follow crutin' should remember that B Smith cited UGA's promise to get him involved with KR was a factor that helped him pick us....so was playing both ways, come to think of it. I agree that there really isn't anything new here.

9 Wide Receivers. We have 2 senior wide receivers Durham and Moore, 2 sophomore wide receivers NFL wide-out A. J. Green and Troupe, a redshirt freshman King, two top-notch signees Wooten and NFL wide-out Marlon Brown from Memphis, and now have signed two more for 2010 Michael Bennett out of Alpharetta and NFL wide-out Da'Rick Rogers out of Calhoun Georgia.

9.

You have a tall, very fast, top-catching and pass route-running, talented and proven wide receivers list of nine, 9.

Not 6 you list Bill King, sir.

If Coach Richt wants to play cornerback Branden Smith a few plays at wide receiver, there is no issue with that and never has been in Coach Richt's offense. Coach Richt always gets plenty of players on the field at wide receiver. We have two top tight ends coming in this season with Lynch and Charles and Charles certainly is NFL Tight End.

As per usual for your discussions, Bill King, sir, you say we have only 6 wide-outs, so we must play Branden Smith at Wide Receiver, what you don't say is that we have only 3 cornerbacks on the roster, you would remove him from full-time to learn wide-out, leaving us with only signee Love to add to Boykin, Cuff, and Miller at cornerback.

How could you miss that that there are only 3 cornerbacks before we signed Love and Branden Smith ? Amazing.
